Product Description

Its very sturdy and functions great. ONLY THING I RECOMMEND before buying is looking at the width dimensions of your chair and check the dimensions of the canopy itself. My chair wasn’t wide enough. but, my dad helped me out and he just drilled holes into my chair and screwed the canopy to it, and it can remove it if i wanted. I’ll try and add photos of what he did with a closer look! But this is the chair with it on (:

If you love being outside, maybe getting some sun, but have a need for shade, this is really the best little addition to your beach chair EVER! I have multiple reasons to use this, such as taking medication that carries a notice of sun exposure causing a reaction, having an autoimmune disorder that causes my face to be red all the time anyway but gets exacerbated by sunlight (seriously, I look like a lobster), and wanting to be able to relax without having to wear a hat or visor 100% of the time to keep the sun out of my eyes and face. Helps cool you down a little without having the sun beating down on your head, too. I loved this so much I bought a second one for our other chair and talk about it to everyone I meet while using it. Easy to snap on to most beach chairs, and has such a tight fit that it doesn't slip off or move around, at all. Could be a little hard to remove from the chair for someone without a bit of strength or with poor grip (have a helper to do that if necessary, but it is not a deal breaker for me).
My kids are not little any more but I could see it being helpful for kids who are taking a break from the water and need a break from the sun as well or for napping. Highly recommend and wish I'd had this years ago!

Every beach chair I tried this canopy on did not fit - the clamp attachment was not big enough to snap onto the beach chair frame. I had a Tommy Bahama chair & 2 other different brands that it would not fit either. I returned both shades per instructions, received notification from Amazon they were received & then got emails, supposedly from Amazon saying I would be charged full price since they did not receive the canopies in the allotted time. Amazon said the email did not come from them, not to worry about it & in my next credit card statement, got charged for the canopies. Amazon is making it right so dont know if this is a Rio Beach attempt to charge me or amazon but has been a pain to rectify. Canopies would have been ideal if they just made the attachment piece more universal - it was impossible to connect to my chairs.
