Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
This audiobook takes the great wisdom of some of the leading exorcists in the Church, including Fr. Chad Ripperger, Fr. Gabriele Amorth, Fr. Jose Antonio Fortea, Fr. Gary Thomas, among others, and packages it into an approachable and intriguing audiobook that conveys, to today’s Catholics, critical insights into the activity of the diabolical and spiritual warfare tactics with which we must be familiar.
These exorcists pull their teachings from the sacred traditions of our faith, the teachings of the fathers and doctors of the Church, the wisdom of exorcists under whom they were trained, and their own extensive experience in the realm of spiritual warfare, deliverance, and exorcisms.
The purpose of this audiobook is to help enlighten Catholics to the spiritual war in which we all find ourselves. Not only is this battle real, but the Church knows it well, and has provided both wisdom and weapons, teachings and sacramentals, to enable Catholics to fight in this battle into which they have all been drafted, and be victorious. “The devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour,” as St. Peter says. These exorcists face this devil, and the many demons who fell with him, as a central part of their spiritual ministry. Let them teach you what they know and impart to you those things that will aid you most in your spiritual life. Allow yourself to be instructed by spiritual masters that you may learn the manner in which the devil attacks you, the weapons you have at your disposal, and the means to find healing for the wounds you have suffered in your life.
Know your enemy. Know his tactics. Know his motives. Know his nature. Know his origin. Know his goal. Know his language. Know his network. Know his strengths. Know his weaknesses. Once this knowledge is obtained, you can more effectively predict your enemy’s behavior, recognize his traps, use the proper preventative measures against him, and drive him away when he persists.

It gives us peace and hope in God's Protection and Mercy, and points out some very important points that inspire holy security and God-based confidence, like the fact that, because of the loss of heavenly grace, our personal Guardian Angels are more powerful than any demon, including Satan himself (pg. 8 pp. 2)!! (That, of course, should never move us to focus exaggeratedly on them or worship them).
This book is full of encouragement at the same time that it clearly shows that demons are not fantasies invented to scare children or adults into behaving, but awful and very dangerous realities that we must fight against every day, and that fight using the resources provided by God in His Church, does not make us creeped out individuals but live in victory, love, peace and joy invincible!!
The father's role in the family is critical to keeping the family safe and protected. With the divorce rate so high these young couples need to understand that wether they like it or not, whether they choose to recognize it or not they will be engaging in spiritual warfare. This book and Father Ripperger's book along with living a devot Catholic life will help them win the battle. May God bless Charles for writing this for us. I hope he goes through with about writing one on fathers and fatherhood.
This is a fairly brief summary of the teachings of current exorcists within the Catholic Church on demonic possession, supplemented with some lengthy quotations of several saints. Most of the information from the exorcists are from video presentations available on the internet.
Quite informative, but the author could have done a bit better job of supporting his argument that J.K. Rowling wrote the Harry Potter novels (and Hollywood is infested with people) under the sway of the Satanic.
That being said, the book is full of information on how to safe-guard yourself and family from demonic influences. If you don't believe that demonic forces exist, look around you and sincerely ask if what you see in the world is "normal." I recently heard a Catholic priest flat-out declare that "Satan is unchained" and this was not some old guy, but a convert in his late 30s that did not have a completely sheltered past.

I would urge any serious Christian to read it. It is inspiring and provides hope and courage to fight the good fight .
I also bought his book ‘Swords and Shadows’ which is excellent as well.
Fraune seamlessly weaves in the experiences of reputable exorcists in the text; which contextualizes the material in the real world. Highly recommended. The world is under Satanic delusion now; which God has permitted because we rejected Him.
Frequent Mass; Confession, prayer, Rosary, are more necessary than ever.
I’ve read many books in this category and I would say this is easily one of the, if not, the best, for the average lay person. Highly recommended.
