The pliers open and close without catching or sticking, I use them for electrical work so I require a bit of precision with my pliers and they lived up to my standards.

The only thing I will say is the needle-nose pliers are too big for my tastes, but that is only due to me using them in their incorrect application, I would recommend buying a smaller one if you're in the same boat as me.

They are quite sturdy too, we all use pliers as hammers from time to time, and mine have survived thus far without being ruined.
