    I just assembled and installed my system yesterday. Easy is an understatement. There is literally nothing to do other than 1. Drill two holes if you are wall mounting 2. Attach two cables, one of which is the power cord. The second cable is your choice of HDMI (ARC); Optical or analog. These cables are provided. The manual states that HDMI is the best so it is what I decided to use. It took me less than 20 minutes to wall mount; connect to the TV and then run my first sound test. I chose an action movie as the test sound and was blown away by the sound quality. I have a theater room with a 5.1 system that is 20 years old, but it is a full surround sound theater that provides realism as if you are in the action. My theater system has two speakers in the rear which makes it understandable for the high quality sound. This is where the Vizio system comes into my review. This two speaker (one is the wireless subwoofer) is nearly as good as my 5.1 theater. The best part is that it is right out of the box and no special tuning instructions to optimize the sound. The remote does it all with options for the situation such as Movies, Music and other selections. The simplicity of this system combined with the high quality sound, and low price is what makes the entire package incedible. After listening to this system, I am a believer that multi-speaker theather surround is obsolete. I guess if you are a serious audiophile you are likely to disagree because of some scientific audio measurements. I don't care about any of those things, because I know what I like as an average guy just trying to maximize the dollar and entertainment. If Vizio makes a higher dollar system, I would probably take it if I were on the market, given what I know now. I strongly recommend this system.

    I needed a simple setup for our bedroom because TV speakers are garbage today. I did some research and found the TCL Alto 6+ was lauded as a great budget option and for $100 locally I pulled the trigger. Unfortunately is sounded awful. Voices sounded like they were coming from inside a can and the subwoofer had so little output it was basically a paperweight. I love my Vizio soundbar I have in my living room but it was 7 years old at this point and I was worried quality may have cheapened. I should have trusted my gut and just gone with another Vizio in the first place. This refurb arrived looking brand new, setup was super simple and it sounds great for the cost. It's perfect for a bedroom setup where you don't need surround sound. And I actually had to turn the subwoofer DOWN the output was so good. Turning it up was waking up my daughters :-) For what amounted to $30 more than the TCL, the difference is night and day. The Vizio has a lot more adjustments available as well if you want to tune the sound to your liking where the TCL had very little tuning possibilities. I would recommend this soundbar at full price but the deal on the refurb is even sweeter!

    Hooked it up to my new Vizio 65 inch 4K ULED TV. I must admit highly impressed with the sound. The woofer booms just right. Although not true surround sound, the sound fills the room, bullets actually whistle around the room. I placed the woofer next to the couch for best setting. You have a few settings for the sound bar. Gaming, movies, music, voice. Voice moves the vocals more to the forfront in movies. This is good necessary because some action films the bass will drown out vocals. All in all… Great lil system for great little price. By the way it comes with these seperate settings for you to tinker with. Bass, EQ, Treble, and Sub.
