Great sound for the price!
All in all, for the price this is a pretty good option for a simple soundbar/subwoofer combo - especially if you have a Vizio TV. I do have an older model (yes, that is a candle burn on the frame by the logo 😏) so the quick mount option wasn't compatible sadly. I did keep the hardware as a new TV is likely in store later this year.As expected, everything is neatly packaged and organized in typical Vizio fashion. I opted to simply place both the woofer and bar on our stand directly below the TV. Usual placement for the sub would be on the floor...but whatever.Despite not being able to mount it on the TV frame and possibly distract from the hideous burn mark, the set up was quick and easy. Both the sub and bar have their own individual power cords and the bar connects to the TV with the included HDMI arc cable. There appears to be Bluetooth as well, but I went the wired route.Once everything was hooked up, I flipped the power on for the sub and started up the TV. One nice thing about the install with an existing Vizio is that the speakers are automatically "paired" and ready to go with your remote.You can go into the settings and tune the settings a bit, also with the Vizio app you can apparently do this from your smartphone, but again I'll like try this later and controlling via the remote and onscreen options is sufficient for now.After a really cursory tuning of the options I tested out the speakers with a few TV shows, streaming radio and some Xbox use. Again, for the price it's a pretty rich and balanced sound out of the box. The highs are pretty crisp and the bass is fairly deep, but not overwhelming unless you start playing with the options.For less than a few hundred bucks new, I wasn't expecting any sort of mind blowing theater quality sound, but it is really a rich warm sound that is miles better than the TVs own speakers.I like the ease and simplicity of it, installation was easy and very quickly you are ready to go with it already paired to your remote. Bluetooth and in app controls are a nice touch too.Ultimately, this is definitely a nice option especially those with a Vizio who want a less expensive and easy to use option for richer sound. 😍
