It allows you to clip the bag to pretty much anything (i.e.- to your belt loop, key holder, etc.) so you can be hands free. We love this bag and highly recommend it to anyone that has a dog, especially a puppy!

I don’t understand some of the bad reviews. I got mine in 2020 still holding and loving it. I live in the mountains and go for hikes or picnics all the time and this is my go to water bowl to carry, I also had tried collapsable silicone ones and for some reason squirrels seem to love chewing on them making them useless if unattended only for few minutes thus in 2020 I bought this one. Not only squirrels seem to ignore it but it’s held beautifully all these years. I travel quite a lot taking my dogs with me since I’m retired and many times I’ve stayed in hotels, this is what I bring for water together with a different one for food, it’s never leaked so far, I like it so much I’m purchasing 2 more, one for the car, one in my backpack for hikes and one as spare.

This bowl is super light weight and takes little space. For that reason, it's real good. The price is great too. Has some hand reflective seams too. I ended up returning it because I felt it wouldn't work out well if it wasn't filled full...because the sides are not that rigid, the sides are 3" or 3 and 1/8 tall and the diameter is 6". My dog 70lb dog has a long nose and often only takes a few licks when he needs water...so for my dog I'd end up using a lot more water than something that could be shallower. If this product came with a 2" side that was a little more rigid...that would work for me. Know bottom of the bowl has seems. They're taped. Eventually it might leak a little. I ended up getting one of those bowls that open up like an accordian. It's heavier and bulkier than I'd like...but with my dog, I'll end up using less water. So get this product if you want something super light that packs real small and you are able to fill the bowl full as needed....like backpacking with periodic access to streams and lakes.

I use this for the beach or hikes. If you leave water in it for a while it will get moist and leak a bit. It’s never bothered me because I generally use it for quick water breaks on long hikes or at the beach for our 3 dogs. It’s great in the car for water during potty breaks on long road trips as well. I tried to order another brand to put in my car but it fell apart within months. My other one is only just starting to show serious wear and I didn’t realize I had bought it 9 years ago until I came here to reorder the tried and true one. Super easy to stuff in my back pocket. Hoping the replacement is as good of quality as the original I ordered in 2015.

I purchased this to replace an almost identical Outward Hound treat bag that I’ve had for about 20-years. The stitching holding the belt clip in place started giving out on the old one. They’ve upgraded the plastic belt clip itself, this one is less likely to slip off.

It still uses a drawstring closure at the top. When open, you can fold it back down over the bag itself to make it easy to reach inside for treats. I almost went with a larger bag that had the drawstring mechanism setup so it pinched the interior of the bag. I’d love that, but I’m happiest with this smaller size. It stays on my waist pack that carries dog bags and a flashlight.

Overall, I’m glad they’re still making this bag. It feels like it could last another decade or more.

Ignore the negative reviews!! I love this product. I don't know what some people expect from a travel bowl but this can hold a significant amount of water. I have an 80 lbs GSD mix and this is the perfect size for him. It's made of extremely lightweight yet durable material and can fold up into your pocket easily.

And yes, I paid full price for this and I'm a real reviewer. This is an excellent product for owners of large breeds - the misinformation provided by some reviewers is frustrating! I've purchased the other silicon collapsible bowls and they're tiny in comparison, with not even half the water capacity.

Do yourself a favour, buy this bowl. I misplaced mine and I am just about to order another. I decided to write this review after seeing how misguided the reviews were.
