    Great for European City Travel

    Great for European City Travel
We've gone through tons and tons of umbrella strollers and the Mountain Buggy is the one I've found to be the most practical for our family. We bought this stroller mainly for international air travel - and only use it as our travel stroller. I agree with early reviews that the cons are: No cup holder and cannot fold one handed. However, what I truly love about this stroller is how sturdy it is, how the seat reclines (for naps) and how compact you can fold it. Often while traveling we have short layovers in other countries. Waiting for a stroller at GateCheck always slows us down and adds a whole other level of stress. Getting through customs after waiting for the stupid stroller after the whole plane has deplaned is nerve wracking. It's been a life saver having a stroller that folds small enough to bring on the plane with us so that we're not on the other end holding our babies and waiting for the stroller. Even on small planes, we were able to fit it under the seat in front of us. On large plans it fits in the overhead. Now with two small children (10m and 3yrs), our general go-to is our UppaBaby Double Stroller. But during our last trip to Florence, with their narrow sidewalks and small cobble stone streets, we decided to buy a second Mountain Buggy. My wife and I were traveling together so each of us would take one of the strollers and one of the kids. It worked out AWESOME. The kids were able to nap in the strollers, and we didn't feel like we had to throw away our umbrella stroller after 9 days of cobble stone pounding. We walked a solid 7-10 miles each day using these and they're still functioning. We may eventually need to replace the wheels, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience of an umbrella stroller that works the way you need it. The strollers folded up small enough to bring into the tiny restaurants, and we had very little trouble getting them into any/all of the tiny lifts. We were able to fit a small backpack under each stroller and a large bottle of water as well as any trinkets and souvenirs we bought. The one thing that I would say was a bit of a problem is that our 10 month old's head would hit the stroller frame on the cobble streets if he was fully inclined. We amended this by reclining his seat a bit during bumpy areas, but it was still kind of annoying. All in all we love this stroller for european city travel. Two tips we had to figure out when we first flew with it:1. Unless the seat is fully raised, it will not close right.2. When folded, there is a strap sewn around the handle bar that you velcro around the carrying bar. This prevents the stroller from opening on you when folded. If this is not secured, the top part of the stroller will open if the canopy is pulled on.Pros:Folds up small - fits under most airline seats.Reclines nearly flat.5 point harness.Narrow frame good for narrow sidewalks and doors. Can be pushed one handed easily.Lots of room between seat and canopy (we have pretty tall children).Wheels can be replaced/removed.Basket is adequate for an umbral stroller.Large canopy.Handle bar height is higher than most umbrella strollers (I'm 6'3" - comfortable for me. My wife is 5'6" also comfortable for her) and neither of us regularly are kicking the back of the stroller.Cons:No cup holder or basket near handle bars.Cannot fold one handed - have to put child down to fold and unfold.

We purchased this stroller after seeing a mom using it while she traveled with her 4-yo through an airport. We were so impressed with how light weight it was and how it folded small enough to be checked in the overhead on a plane. During our recent trip with it, we even ran into another family using it with their infant carseat.

Pros - small when folded which is perfect for traveling in a car or tight restaurant spaces. Easy to maneuver on crowded streets. Light weight enough that I didn't struggle holding my 20-lb 10-mo daughter, the diaper bag and the stroller. Comes with a cover to keep it neat and organized while folded. Comfortable for my daughter and she seemed to enjoy it - loved the freedom of not being in the Ergo Baby and even took a nap in her Nano! The leg reg part is adjustable, so you can keep it extended when young and lower when older, which is great.

Cons - The sunshade provides good coverage for her face, but not her legs. We just drapped a muslin cloth over the front when she was sleeping or across her legs when awake. The underseat space is adequate for a small diaper bag only. The handle bars is too low for my husband, but he is fine with it given the advantages of being small and lightweight. Took a few tries to get use to the folding mechanism, but once I got it, it folds very easily.

Things to consider before purchasing - If not using the infant car seat, make sure your child has required trunk strength. The sides are not very deep unless you lower the back of the seat. If you need to carry a lot with you, this isn't the the stroller for you. You can't hang anything heavy from the handles as the stroller will tip over and the storage under the seat is compact. For a light-weight stroller this is better for us than an umbrella stroller and comes with more features than most. However, there aren't a lot of bells and whistles, so if you like features, a light weight stroller might not meet your needs.

We bought this for a month long trip to Italy and it held up SO WELL. We took it on several planes (both large and small), and it fit in the overhead bin without removing any wheels. It was very easy to fold and light to carry around - the strap was very helpful. It held up traveling on cobblestone streets daily (and I mean all day on these streets), going on and off of curbs and dirt roads. The seat recline was great so our son could nap on the go, and the little storage area underneath was great for some small items - it actually holds a bit more than I thought it could.

It's also been great for quick trips and errands around home, super easy and compact to throw in the car. The turning is great and it maneuvers super well. I couldn't recommend this stroller enough!!!

Excited about my new nano v2 2016 stroller!
    Pros:
    1) compact folded, great for small trunk, MAYBE overhead bin in airplane... The measurement specs are actually too wide for most US airlines but maybe you could sneak it through.
    2) lightweight (13 lbs), easy carry handle options - shoulder strap or sturdy plastic handle pick up or roll like a suitcase.
    3) compatible with any infant car seat, no adapter needed. The seat belt is not as fast to use as a click connect, but the stroller is much more versatile for post infant years, too, so worth the trade off. Amazing such a lightweight stroller has the stability for infant car seat.
    4) smooth ride and can push one handed unlike typical umbrella stroller.
    5) tall canopy and added canopy extension flap in this v2 2016 model that does help shield the sun off the face (not the legs/body however).
    6) quality feel of frame and seat more comfortable (than qbit stroller and Zoe xl1 for example)
    7) the basket is accessible both front and back, although I find the front easier to access. Amazingly it fits my large tote diaper bag!
    8) recline. Some travel strollers don't recline or recline minimally (Qbit). This one is pretty decent for longer naps but unfortunately it can't be completely flat while pushing unless using the separately sold infant cocoon. Yes it can unhook to go flat but then the back and sides are exposed so might be a little distracting for a nap and probably too much work for just a diaper change.
    Cons:
    1) folding requires too hands (can't hold child); fine if placing child in car seat before folding
    2) when folded the canopy/handle (part 1 of 3 piece fold) falls out of the fold easily unless you remember to Velcro clip the jogging strap to keep it closed. Super annoying. The auto latch touted is only to keep parts 2 and 3 (seat and legs) together.
    3) seat back height is more like 17.5 in not 18in (the company rounded up I suspect) so not too many more months before child head can't lean back on seat, although there's still mesh above the seat back.
    4) handle bar height ( 38.5 in) is on the short side compared to similar strollers. I'm 5'9" and didn't have any complaints until I put on 3in heels and then it wasn't as comfortable an angle for handlebar.
    5) if canopy is pulled back it covers/gets in the way of the handle bar. I leave it extended since it isn't very large anyway.

For me this is acting like an umbrella travel stroller (aside from my bob jogging stroller), for air travel and stowing in the car trunk for quick shopping trips /mall/ crowded museums. I previously had returned the Qbit (flimsy seat, limited recline) and the Zoe xl1 (lower quality, poor recline, missing compact fold). If the nano didn't exist I would have purchased a summer infant 3D zyre or 3D lite or Chicco liteway for a lower price point. For me, however, the nano's extra features like the ability to take an infant car seat and square fold to possibly fit on a plane prompted me to pay the higher price for the nano. So far happy with my purchase!
Edit 8/15/16: changed to four stars because:
    1) I notice the low handle bar now... Needs an extender to make this better.
    2) concerned my 7 month olds head is almost to the end of the seat when reclined. Baby is 90th percentile for length for a 7 month old but concerned I won't be able to use the recline in a few months. Of the three strap positions, we are using the middle holes, so once child has to adjust to the upper holes I think it's unlikely you can recline comfortably.
Other than those complaints, still happy with the fold, basket space (from front), and versatility with infant seat.

Sehr leicht, bequeme Handhabung.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pratique, compact et multi cosy !
Reviewed in France on July 6, 2016

Brilliant - money well spent. Light, easy to use, comfortable, great on a plane, stores away easily in our flat, I am so impressed with it. I highly recommend
