His every conceivable professional aspiration achieved by the age of thirty-three, and his legacy as undefeated champion of campus and television battlefields eternally guaranteed, in 2017, Milo Yiannopoulos retired. Milo was the most influential and prolific writer and activist of his generation throughout a short but dazzling career in which he prayed for, but was never granted, a leftist of equal talents to play with. Nicknamed the “pop star of hate” by jealous fatties in the media, he was banned from entire continents for his unapologetic commitment to the sound of his own voice.

But it was a voice worth hearing. Architect, chronicler and simultaneously paladin prince heartthrob of countless era-defining public clashes, Milo saw around corners at what was coming next and peered into his enemies’ souls to fathom their weaknesses. Milo conjured “Daddy” for Donald Trump, neatly capturing our national yearning. À propos of nothing, he wondered aloud, “Would you rather your child had feminism… or cancer?” In headlines, he asked coquettishly whether birth control made women “unattractive and crazy.” That last one earned him a dramatic reading from a theatrically wounded Hillary Clinton. An authentic stranger to the male species, she has never understood, or learned to outwit, any man determined to find her ridiculous.

When he was not predicting the future, Milo was writing it, shaping it in his own image. It was Milo who expertly ushered Gamergate into mainstream discourse, leaving feminism with a bloody nose just in time for the election. Milo, single-handedly and overnight, ended the “campus rape culture” hysteria and “gender pay gap” mythology with thunderous victories over grizzling opponents. His first book, Dangerous, sold a quarter of a million copies while the author was blacklisted by every publication in America and banned from social media. This achievement will never be repeated.

Now, as then, Milo writes strictly for his own amusement. These days, Milo ghost-writes bestselling autobiographies for the few media personalities who can afford his monstrous fees… and sustain his interest. You’ve most likely read one of his hobby projects and not known it. Under his own name and those of his appreciative clients, Milo has sold over three million books since 2016—but he’s not counting, because it’s gauche, and tiring, and interfere with his other chief hobby: A carefully-maintained air of nonchalance keeping time between eruptions of commercial success.

A peerless icon of the modern political milieu, Milo’s championship title as troll-in-chief remains unthreatened even now, after half a decade of unrelenting imitation. He doesn’t care either way. Milo sauntered into premature and absurd retirement as a New York Times-bestselling author, an award-winning reporter, an international cultural and political phenomenon, a free speech martyr, an accomplished serial entrepreneur, a hair icon, and, at least behind closed doors, a penitent.

Lately, events have conspired to ruin this self-indulgent existence. In 2020, Milo’s renewed devotion to the Catholic faith began to liberate him from disorder and lifelong homosexual urges. He began a celibate life--initially, in melancholic resignation, quickly thereafter struck dumb by the rejuvenating effect of rejecting sin. And then something reared its head that Milo had not anticipated: A burgeoning sense of moral duty within. And just like that, our hero finally got over himself. Inspired to give back after a lifetime of privilege and unfair genetic advantage, Milo is opening a conversion therapy clinic for other men plagued by same-sex attraction, into a world that could not be any more doubting or hostile.

A Mexican-American who loves MILO!!!!
I'm already past the 1st chapter and I can't get enough of it. It's amazing how in this day & age in America that a voice like Milo's is trying to be silenced on so many platforms, all just for calling out the obvious truth in the left's ridiculous agenda. The first chapter is brilliant in exposing the democrat party & its identity politics. It hits me right at home since I'm Mexican-American & have always despised the democratic left. The left would love me to see myself as an "oppressed minority", that cries victimhood when things don't go my way. I've never done that and have always been a fighter at getting ahead in life and not using my race as a "crutch", as the democrats love to see with other hispanics. I've followed Milo quite extensively with his speeches at colleges & the radical lefties who try to shut down all his speeches. The days when he was still at Breitbart, my favorite if not only news source since I don't trust the mainstream media whatsoever. Excellent read so far and am looking forward to the other chapters. LOVE IT!

This review is for the Kindle version.

This book is not only uplifting and offers a hope for a better future than that which we are currently in it is also a vehicle that will take people towards a society of freedom where free speech and critical thinking is once again openly practiced across our great country. This book is "dangerous." It's author is even more dangerous. Those two statements are too general and may be interpreted in many ways so I shall try to sum up to whom and to what they are dangerous.

They are dangerous to institutions (government or private), group, or individual who have established or work to maintain the poisonous, fabricated reality that has slowly been forced upon us against our will for the last 30 years, is maintained by outlandish false accusations against its detractors, and the removal of free speech and critical thinking, unless of course you agree with their ideas and definitions of those ideas. The danger is to those who use violence to silence the open and public exposition and discussion of any ideas or concepts that are not in lock-step with their ideas and concepts. The danger applies only to they who have already in a large degree, and to they who continue to threaten, to remove all freedom from us and continue to force their ideas and beliefs upon the nation.

This book is not just about an ideology of freedom and freedom's most important allies free speech and critical thinking. This book is about a movement that has already begun by one of the principle people who started the movement. It is a book about first why the movement began and identifies the enemy and enemies of freedom, free speech, and critical thinking. It is only after carefully and factually defining these enemies that created the "why" of the movement that the author explains the "how" of the movement, its initial difficulties, and how those difficulties propelled it into early success and continued growth.

It is an excellent read. The author, Milo, is clear and distinct in his language and presentation. This is by no means a dry read. It is vibrant, alive, bold, flamboyant, raw, humorous and, as Milo might say, absolutely fabulous. This is the "new conservatism" not the old stuffy impotent conservatism of the establishment Republicans over the last 30 years. This conservatism has youth and vigor and its adherents push forward with energy and perseverance. The "old guard," whether liberal or conservative have been put on notice that a new anti-establishment wave is upon them, and it is a "new conservatism" with which they now have to deal. I am 65 years old and I have been waiting for the "old Republican guard" to morph into this new conservatism, in vain I might add. Who would have thought that free speech, the free exchange of ideas and critical thinking would become radical concepts in this country! But sadly, during the post Reagan establishment, they have become radical concepts. Now the "new conservatism is here with its old but nonetheless radical concepts and we have Milo as its standard bearer followed by the freedom warriors!

This is a book that everyone should read, especially High School and College students.

This book is so important that I ordered a hard copy to place on the shelf in my library.

This book is revolutionary. Milo Yiannopoulos is a total icon, and there will never be another one like him. This book is absolutely hilarious, entertaining, and most importantly, speaks the truth. Milo's example has inspired me in my life in so many ways, encouraging one to be bold in a world full of either brainwashed politically-correct sheep, or cowardly Con Inc types who sell out. Yes, he brags about himself a lot here, there's no shortage of narcissism, and there's plenty of foul language that is signature of his purposely provocative rhetoric. But that's what makes this book so enjoyable. The shock value he delivers is exactly what's needed to get bold messaging across in today's world. And he has fun while doing it.

His views and lifestyle has changed in recent years since he wrote this book. But at his core, Milo remains the same unapologetic, courageous hero we all need to inspire us to be brave and dangerous to the opposition that threatens conservatism. My hope is that he'll write another book again soon, as he's since reverted back to the Catholic Church and declares himself ex-gay. I'd love to hear what he has to say now that he's decided to abide by Church teachings in regards to his sexuality, and what he thinks of where our country is headed.

May God bless this dangerous man now and always. Be bold, be brave, be dangerous.

For a while, it seemed like Milo was actually going to become a cultural phenomenon and really help to change the world and turn the tide against political correctness, which had of course gone too far in recent years. His articles, stunts, and lectures were doing an excellent job outlining the need for free speech and honest discussion on issues like race, gender, and Islam. I didn't agree with everything Milo said, particularly regarding some of his traditionalist stances on gender roles, but I appreciated his subversive shock-jock style and his attention to facts over feelings. Many political liberals like myself, who were fed up with identity politics and felt like it was harming the cause of the left, could relate to what Milo was saying. And for young libertarian-leaning conservatives, Milo was the bullhorn, epitomizing a new order of right-wingers who were concerned with a whole new set of issues for the social media times we live in.

All of the sudden, however, once it seemed certain Milo would become unstoppable, right after Milo was a guest on Bill Maher's show and had a major book deal and an invitation to C-PAC under his belt, things fell apart. His enemies pulled out old quotes that made him seem sympathetic to pedophilia (even though he wasn't... if one bothered to look into the full transcripts the quotes came from, that was clear), and everything blew up. He had to lay low for a while. Ironically, what happened to him was exactly the kind of media hit job he always warned his audiences about. He finally realized he wasn't immune to these attacks, although his opponents lied about him on the nuclear level, since pedophilia is probably the ultimate taboo in Western society. It took that level of personal attack to damage him, which is a testament to his resilience.

This book represents his comeback, and it is a good read that summarizes his positions and his approach and gives some context into the rise of his career, including a fascinating chapter on "Gamergate", an online movement pitting feminists against gamers that I was not particularly familiar with. Milo does not talk about his "fall" as much as you'd think, relegating that to the introduction, which then almost gives the book a disjointed feel since you can tell certain chapters were written when he was at his height. Perhaps Milo's point is to set the timeline back before the scandal that almost toppled him, make everyone forget about the "supports pedophilia" implications that still dog him worse than any other criticism leveled against him, false or true.

If you are not familiar with Milo, this book is a good summary introduction, though you will find more content in the recordings of his lectures for sure. If you are already familiar with Milo, you may read some things you've already read or heard, but you will also learn some new things and have an idea of where Milo would like to go in the future. Whatever your political views are, if you support facts, free speech, and are okay with subversive humor, there is something to like about Milo in his battle against political correctness, and this book is another part of that battle.

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute must-read...

This book is crammed with interesting ideas. Lots of food for thought. I loved it! Though I hail from the left, Milo is one of the figures that had me find myself pretty much in the center eventually. He's so sincere and honest about how things are that it's a big relief from the usual politically correct nonsense I keep hearing and reading. The only thing I disagreed with is self-proclaimed Catholic Milo's anti-abortion stance. As a pro-choice atheist it left me genuinely puzzled. Is Milo being genuine here or is he lying to avoid alienating a sizable chunk of his fans? In any case, a great book. I highlighted so many sentences... Please check the table of contents to see all the different things he discusses. Read his book with an open mind and ask yourself if he's making sense or not. A must-read!!! :^)

5.0 out of 5 stars Scharfzüngige Abrechnung mit dem liberalen Millieu
Reviewed in Germany on January 5, 2018
