My old metal wire rake eventually broke, as well as my plastic rake. I was rakeless! I needed to replace my metal rake and my plastic rake at same time. Figuring to get one at a time, I looked for wire rakes first. I find I always need both, and they are good for different situations. I haven't found a plastic rake I want yet online, but I was able to find a metal rake with this Jardineer adjustable rake.As expected, it can be adjusted in both handle length (very important feature for me), as well as in the width, tension of the tines. I do yard clean up and some landscaping jobs, so I need an assortment of tools to get the jobs done. The adjustable handle not only allows me to create the length I need for my height, but also for reaching hard to access spots, as well as storing in my truck when done for the day.Expandable Head from 7" to 23"- Makes it perfect for getting into tight spots, or for more general raking by using widest setting.Nice long 63" adjustable, telescoping pole provides lots of reach options.So far so good.. quite pleased with this rake.

Everywhere I went this type of product was sold out. When I found this I just had to try it and it works exactly as it is supposed to for my uses. The tines are adjustable, it folds down compact, it gets between bushes and plants without damaging them.

I have tons of pine trees in my yard. The other rakes are bulky and pick up everything, not just the pine needles. This rake picks up pretty much just the pine needles which is what I needed. The tines are not intended for rocks or heavier debris "as is stated in the description".

One minor issue is that the pole length adjustment doesn't always stay tight, but it's just a quick twist to fix it.

I recommend this for raking through light debris and pine needles.

I really wanted to like this rake. I like how light it is and how you can adjust the width of the rake. However, I used it today for the first time this fall after purchasing it 5 months ago. I was raking leaves when all of the sudden all of the tines went flying! One of the screws holding all of the tines in place apparently came undone. We managed to find the screw but not the nut that held the screw in place (given the number of leaves in our yard, it was the equivalent of searching for a needle in a haystack). If this rake won't hold up to a pile of dry leaves, I'm not entirely sure what you would use it for. Additionally, I found the handle a little difficult to keep extended. No matter how tight I turned the handle, it seemed to keep coming loose and trying to collapse back into itself.

Has worked well for collecting hedge trimmings. The width of the spikes (?) is very adjustable - I thought from the product page it just had a narrow or wide option but you can lock it into any position between the two which is nice. Seems sturdy and worked well. I liked that the spikes are quite flexible so I could also use it to remove any longer cuttings that were sat on the top of the hedge, as Google tells me that these can be a problem to leave as it blocks light to the hedge for regrowth.

I bought this rake to clear leaves & straw etc from woodchip paths in my veggie garden without disturbing the woodchips too much.

It works as intended and while the quality isn't buy-it-for-life level, it's adequate for the price. Fold it back up when you're finished, keep it out of the weather - there's a few rivets that aren't rust proof.
