I like to do my own eyebrows, this mirror is great to be able to view in detail and make sure every hair is plunked. This mirror could be a little bit brighter but for the most part it durable. This product is cheaper on Amazon rather than Costco or other suppliers. I would gift this to a friend or family member.

This mirror is very good. I dud not give it 5 stars because I wish it were brighter. I think that plug-in models are often brighter.

Nonetheless, the fact that this is battery operated is a real plus! No cord taking up valuable space near my sink! I've already got space taken by an electric toithbrush etc.

This cordless feature really keeps everything looking neat and frees up the out for handheld har dryer on occasion.

The 10X is a huge improvement over the 7X!!!!!!!

Conair is one of the best magnifying mirrors around, and I like the new battery option instead of plugging in, this makes it much more portable, a great improvement. BUT, the light around the mirror is much dimmer than my previous Conair, and so it is much harder to see those nasty grey hairs, chin hairs that we ladies must be able to see to escape embarrassment. I noticed the difference as well as my daughters. So suggestion Conair, Beef up the volume.

I purchased this to replace a much older version of a Conair 10x magnifying mirror I had that ended up with an electrical short after several years of use. This new mirror is not only very sturdy for being so lightweight, it is also awesome in that there is no cord ... it runs on just 3 AA batteries. The daylight LED lighting is crisp and clean, and makes it super easy for tweezing my eyebrows. I definitely recommend this item if you are looking for a new 1x/10x magnifying mirror.

I purchased this for myself as a Christmas present. Put in 3 brand-new, out-of-the-package AAA Energizer batteries that day. Rarely used the lighted mirror because the light looked unnatural. One month later, the batteries were dead. Changed the batteries. Ensured the light went on. Didn't use the light again. Yesterday, 6 weeks after putting in the third set of new batteries. It will not even turn on. ALSO seemingly you can only see your face clearly if you are looking directly into the mirror. The edges appear blurry so you have maybe 3" of actual mirror you can use. In my opinion, this mirror is a waste of money. NOW CONAIR REPLACED THIS MIRROR HOWEVER ..... the screw for the battery compartment was stripped and I cannot get the screw out AND the power button does not go on. It seems stuck in off. I WOULD NOT WASTE ANY MONEY ON THIS CONAIR PRODUCT. They replaced it a second time and here we are six months down the line and the power button will not go on. THIS IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY FOR ANYONE. 3 mirrors and none of them work.

I trust Amazon when they give items a second chance at a discount as long as the item is "sold by Amazon". I saved a lot of money on this and it looks and works as if it were brand new. I love the fact that it runs on AA batteries because I can position it anywhere on my vanity. The 10X magnification side is great without any funhouse distortion. To access the battery compartment, you will need a miniature Phillips screwdriver from an eyeglass repair kit or dollar store. I think we're all supposed to have one of these in our toolbox anyways which is probably why Conair didn't include one.

The directions do not explain that it takes a mini Phillips screwdriver to first take a screw out of the battery compartment lid before that can be opened for placing batteries. Otherwise, it is an excellent mirror.
