I've been using electric razors for over 40 years now and have owned Remington, Norelco, Braun and Wahl shavers. I've gotten the best shaves out of the Remingtons and Brauns I've had in the past. Most recently had a third go around with a Remington model I've had good success with. It was a dud - their quality control is really lacking these days. Battery wouldn't make a week brand new. Took forever to get a good close shave and was VERY loud. Had enough and decided to try the Panasonic ARC 3.
Amazing performance. Super quiet compared to the Remington and more powerful - super close shave in less than half the time. Battery life is great as only used 40% during first two weeks. Hopefully that keeps happening.
The razor is very easy to clean - either rinsing under water or just use the brush provided. Comfortable to hold and the head moves with the contours of face, keeping having to stretch skin to a minimum. Trimmer is very good - could be a little wider, but fine as it is.
Hopefully, it holds up. Everything wears out over time, but so impressed with the performance, I'd definitely buy another one. Highly recommended!
UPDATE - It's now been over a year of daily use and still shaves great with original blades and foil. Battery is still lasting over a week between charges. BEST electric shaver I've ever owned. If it broke or got lost, I'd buy another! Still highly recommended!

I have new respect for this razor
I bought this Panasonic ARC3 last summer to replace my trusty old Panasonic ES-LA63 that had it's rechargeable battery finally die after many years of use. At first I thought this new one felt a lot cheaper made (more plasticy and not as heavy in the hand) and did not feel like it shaved quite as well, but it has gotten the job done sufficiently since purchasing.I'm a big hockey fan and when my team is in the playoffs, I don't shave and let the beard and mustache grow as a way to root on my team. My team was eliminated yesterday so it was time to shave off all the facial hair. My last Panasonic was always a pain to do this and would snag the facial hair and only get it down so far so I just went to a barber last year. This year, I just wanted it off ASAP so I figured I'd try the new Panasonic that had been sitting in the drawer unused for the past month. Just one pass with the straight blade portion and 80% of the facial hair was gone, I was shocked. A few more passes with the straight blade and then the foil and I didn't even need to do a regular razor shave afterwards. This definitely gave me new respect for this Panasonic ARC3.
