Great packing cube upgrade
I bought these specifically for the compression because I needed to fit 5or 6-night trip into a 20" carry-on suitcase. I threw together some random clothes similar to what I would pack for vacation and did a practice packing run to make sure I could fit everything in these cubes (and the 20" suitcase).Clothes:4 dresses3 tank tops1 tshirt2 swimsuit coverups2 bikinis3 shorts8 panties1 bra1 SweatshirtCubes used:1 large1 medium2 smallI was able to pack everything except 1 swimsuit top and the sweatshirt. I could probably get the swimsuit top to pack into the medium or large cube if I wanted to but I didn't want to unzip them. I tried packing it into the small cube with the other swimsuit stuff. The sweatshirt wasn't so big of a deal to me, I would likely wear that on the plane or put it in my personal item anyhow.I typically use the rolling packing method for my clothes to pack my old packing cubes that did not have a 2nd zipper compression like these do. I found that rolling was not the best course of action with these cubes. I tried the rolling method, but as you're zipping the 2nd compression zipper up one side of the cube, it really pushes the rolls to the other side. Once you get the zipper to the other side, it's very challenging to zip it up because as you try to push in the sides to zip it, the rolled clothes are just too dense and don't give much grace therefore putting a lot of pressure on the seams. I ended up folding the clothes to the widths of the cubes and that allows the clothes to be far more flexible during the compression process. you can easily push the sides of the cube in to get that final stretch of compression zipped up.The quality seems good. I'm a little skeptical of the seams, it appeared that one or two of them were under quite a bit of pressure. The cubes are pretty stiff since they're brand new. I'm going to run them through the washer a few times to see if that softens up the fabrics.Overall: I like them so far but only a true vacation will put them to the test.

I've been using packing cubes for years now and wouldn't travel without them. But these compression cubes are now my favorites and have me now re-purposing my old packing cubes for things other than traveling. These are lighter weight, have mesh see-thru tops, they compress down to about half their height, are well made, and colorful. They are lightweight but sturdy enough to just stay upright while packing and using them. I tried a set that was lighter weight but they collapsed when trying to pack and that annoyed me. I also tried a set that was heavier but they were too bulky. These are nice and thin and even have a little pocket to name the type of clothing you have in the bag. I'm glad I got the 6 pack. It gives me many options for arranging the cubes in my luggage along with other items. I prefer to use multiple mid-sized cubes rather than singular large ones so I can designate types of clothing such as: undies & socks, tops, bottoms & dresses, and outerwear. The long narrow ones slip easily between or alongside the mid-size cubes in my luggage, utilizing the space very well. Haven't used the shoe bag yet. Still figuring that one out.

When I arrived at our Airbnb, I simply removed the cubes from my luggage, released the compression zippers, and popped them into my drawers perfectly organized. My housemate was envious! Then when we traveled to our next lodging which was a hotel, I transitioned seamlessly as I transferred my packing cubes into those drawers as well. I definitely recommend these for great luggage packing, for function and saving space. And they have a good choice of colors too. The orange ones I got, make me smile:-)

If you are even a little bit frustrated by clothes not being organized in your suitcase, you should purchase these. If you are living out of a suitcase at a hotel for a day or two, this keeps things so organized for when you need to pack to leave. These also condense and get super flat which is helpful when you have a lot to bring or bring back home. They come with little labels that slide into most of the bags where you can categorize your stuff. the material is perfect, like those reusable shopping bags- super lightweight and super durable. Never going back to NOT having these for travel.

As others have said, these are great packing cubes but maybe not so great for compression. When I first opened them I was afraid they were a bit flimsy, but they actually held up really well and the zippers are solid. However, when it comes to compression if you're filling the cube - like I feel most of us do - the more that's in there the harder it'll be to compress. And if you do get it compressed, chances are things are gonna be wrinkled. I unzipped the compression on most of mine because I could see my clothes forming creases/wrinkles. But that being said, they're pretty great just to use as packing cubes and you can get A LOT in them.
