The final fight in the episode where Reacher lies in wait for the mercenaries/killers in the abandoned home of the one accountant who is on the run seems somewhat incongruous and incredible to me as Reacher seems to have an unexpected and inordinate amount of trouble with one guy who pushes him into a pool and nearly kills him seemingly having the upper hand during their whole fight even though he is a minor character who has not shown any comparable abilities during the whole season prior to that point.

The very last episode of Season 1 not only feels rushed to me, but suffers from another glaring issue in my opinion that is even more of a concern in Season 2: Reacher pretty much never feels like he is in actual danger nor that he ever really faces significantly high stakes. The whole scene from when he and his friends storm the burning counterfeiting plant to him fairly quickly defeating the unhinged antagonist and then walking out from the burning building seemed too easy and almost comical in its pacing and execution.

In summary I still love the show, Reacher, and part of me wishes to not only realize my own dreams of being an unchained, free-roaming American bada** who helps people and stops corruption wherever he goes, but to also wish that someone even a quarter as epic and incorruptible as Reacher exists or could exist in the world. I'd like to hope that he exists somewhere. Maybe he exists in each of us, but also I can't shake the feeling that Amazon and other such high powered corporate and government entities know how to harness even, and maybe especially, something as beautiful and honorable as Jack Reacher, package him, commodify him, and sell him to us as an escapist salve so that we remain fat, docile, and continually lining their pockets. Something to think about...but I still generally like the show very much, and for me I watch pretty much nothing else other than Real Time and Stranger Things. I don't consume any Youtube, Television, Video News, Movies (In Theater or through streaming, etc.) or any other visual entertainment almost at all anymore. The only two movies that I can recall going to theaters to see in the last decade both happened in the last couple of years: Maverick and Oppenheimer. Anyway that is enough from me for the moment. Cheers.

I could never read these books, but they make great action movies. I like that the story is told over several episodes and the star is from the town next door to my home town. It doesn't hurt that he's ripped. :-)

If you like the Jack Reach book series by Lee Child, you'll like this video series of his first book "Killing Floor." Alan Ritchson IS Jack Reacher in every respect, and does a superb job in "Reacher: Season One." He makes Tom Cruise look puny by comparison. Reacher: Season One closely follows the plot of "Killing Floor," and the overall result is both visually appealing and consistent. The ending of Reacher: Season One made me eager to see Season Two, and whenever a series leaves me excited for another round, it's a good show. I streamed it and enjoyed it on its first run, and have now punchased the series on disc as I've begun favoring owning physical media again. This Blu-ray disc set contains 3 discs with 10 episodes plus special features, and there were no problems playing or ripping the discs. I enjoyed this series and recommend it. I rate both the program itself and the Blu-ray disc set 5 stars.

This show is crime drama (I think) following the most Giga-Chad Gary Stu I have seen in media in the best way possible. However because of this I can't say it has the most in depth characters but there are definitely some highlights and reveals that genuinely surprised me that I enjoyed. Speaking of reveals for not watching that many crime shows I really enjoyed following the mystery of this show, although it does do alot of show and tell with some far reaching (HAHA) plot threads, but how they're delivered makes me ambivalent on the matter.
The plot itself follows Jack Reacher, an investigator of sorts in the fictional town Margrave, GA trying to follow up on a recent murder in the town, and it gets. I mean WOW. I was indifferent about the show until maybe episode 3 when it started digging into things and OMG. Though I do have to dock some points because there were some moments that just seem unrealistic even for the situation or just dramatized for a show that seems to be more grounded in reality.

Binge watched this series. Being a fan of the book series you never know if the tv show will do it justice but it does! Alan Ritchson is well cast as Reacher. This action packed adaptation of the book is entertaining and enjoyable to watch.

This is the best way to watch Reacher, the bit rate is a solid 40mbps on average, guaranteeing the highest picture quality for this series to date.

The fact that collectors have the option to purchase this series physically is appreciated and worthy of praise.
