The Canon R6 Mark II is my second purchase of this incredible camera model, and I absolutely love it. As a professional photographer, I’ve used a wide range of cameras over the years, and the R6 Mark II stands out as one of the best for capturing stunning photos with ease and precision.
One of the most impressive features of this camera is its focus tracking. It’s nothing short of amazing how accurately and quickly it locks onto subjects, even those in motion. I love this camera!
I've been using this camera a little over a year, so far for photos only, no video yet. And I love it!I use this camera with Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 is USM Zoom Lens & Canon RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM lens.I've been taking photos for over 20 years, previously with a Canon DSLR & this is the first time I feel like I'm learning something about how the camera works. Being able to look through the viewfinder & make changes to my settings & actually seeing how it will affect the photo is making it click in my brain!I shoot lots of hummingbirds so the high speed shooting is terrific. I shoot the hummingbirds handheld & they are still high quality & clear. Eye detection even works on these tiny birds!I also shoot lots of photos of my dogs & the subject detection & being able to focus on their eye(s) is invaluable!I've also used it for family self portraits with a remote & on a tripod. The photos included dogs & shooting high speed continuous with the remote was still possible. I got some irreplaceable, wonderful photos this way!Switching to mirrorless was worth it. If you've been holding off, I would highly recommend doing it.

The Canon R6 Mark ii was my upgrade from a Canon 5D Mark iii (circa 2012). I've had it for a few days and need to familiarize myself with more of its features. It is much smaller and lighter than my old camera. This camera makes it easy to navigate the menus via the dials and buttons. The autofocus is fast and flexible. The exposures for the shooting modes I've used (Av, Tv, and Manual) are very good. The mirrorless rate of image capture is jaw-dropping. No doubt there are faster cameras, but this is something compared with my old one. The photos were all hand-held, illustrating the image stabilization and exposure capability of the camera.Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2024
