I had tried other hands free leashes and they were fine at a walk but miserable when running. They chafed, would not stay at my hips and kept moving to above my waist, and sent me flying when my dog would go after squirrels 😅

This one does not move at all while running and stays perfectly around my hips. When my dog lunges at squirrels it doesn’t even move, which really helps me.

No more bouncing fanny pack either. I can fit my phone, treats, and a couple poop bags with room to spare.

This has been a total game changer.

I love most ruffwear products but I have to warn away other lovers of running with dogs and canicross. This new belt design does not work if you dog pulls at all. The prior ruffwear belt design had padding along the hip that extended around the Iliac crest (hip bone) on a 30in waist. The new belt padding is too short and stops before the iliac crest. Even the padding that is there is insubstantial. As a result, your hips will be hurt by any amount of pulling your dog does.

Further cons include less storage space and a loss of the drink holder that doubled as a tennis ball carrier.
