I wanted to love this dress, but unfortunately it didn't work out for me. I'm petite (5'2") and in a curvy body. I hoped the ruching would help me disguise the squishy parts of my body I'm self conscious about postpartum, but instead, it clung to those areas and emphasized them. The length made me feel stumpy and I knew if I wore this I'd spend the whole time constantly trying to rearrange the ruching to hide the clinging areas and not make me look short. The material itself did feel really nice, there was stretch to the garment, and the color was pretty. It just didn't work for my petite curvy body.

I will say I bought a large first because my measurements are 37”, 32.5”, 42”, so really I should be a large. It hung off me in several places though. I had easily an inch of room around the waist. I got a medium, and it fits much more like expected. If you’re teetering between sizes, maybe size down?

I’m always wary of ordering clothes online because I feel like with every body type fit varies. Weight and height are not the best indicators of fit. I read some reviews and consulted the size guide. In the end I decided against the size guide and went with my true dress size. I am 5’6”. 168lbs with 34DD and I usually wear medium. I went with the medium rather than the large as was recommended. The dress fits perfectly!!! The material is light. The colour is perfect and looks like the pictures. I wish size guides would take into consideration women who have muscle since that typically changes weight/size.
