Reno Gates: A Western Adventure (A Reno Gates Western Book 1) Kindle Edition

The first book in a brand new Western series from C. Wayne Winkle!

Will Morgan never thought that his uncle, Reno Gates, would come back to that ranch and take him away with him. But that’s exactly what happened.

Reno was Will’s favorite uncle. His only uncle, at least as far as he knew. And he was a bit of a mystery.

Will didn’t know for sure what he was getting into when he rode with Reno. He just knew he was glad to get away from that ranch.

When Reno found out his former fiancée was in Wyoming and not heard from, things started getting complicated. Reno set out to find her. Will did his best to keep it all straight, but one complication after another cropped up.

Would Will and Reno survive the complications? There were times Will wasn’t completely sure.

C. Wayne Winkle is a retired psychologist who grew up watching the great western heroes on television. Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Lash LaRue, and the Lone Ranger were on every Saturday morning. And, of course, Louis L’Amour is still one of his favorite authors. More recently, he has become very interested in mysteries and thrillers. Winkle has been married to the same wonderful woman for 46 years. They have six of the best grandkids anyone could possibly want. His faith in Jesus Christ is a mainstay in his foundation of life. Winkle lives in western Arkansas, “the eyebrow of Indian Territory.”

All action, all the time . Seen thru the eyes of youth and daring. A very entertaining story of 1870 Texas.
This story makes me grateful for Hot and Cold running water...

The story and characters kept me interested and read through pain filled afternoon. What more could a reader ask for? Don't expect great thought-provoking literature or social commentary. It is just a good story

I enjoyed this whole series. I will read more of Winkle’s writings when I can find it. Very well done sir.
It was nice to find a good western that wasn’t full of spelling and grammar errors.

Certainly five stars worthy, as all of Mr. Winkle's books I have read thus far! This fascinatingly interesting series of ongoing will definitely keep any reader turning pages to see what might occur next!
Once Reno, and his crew, warms up the storylines will definitely
pacify anyone's desired expectations! This fast moving series of unending excitable adventures will maintain your undivided attention cover to cover! Too, the character selections, both the good guys, and the bad guys, will pacify anyone's desired expectations!
Never read a book by Mr. Winkle that wouldn't pacify anyone's passion for excitement, as the good guys go above and beyond in their respective roles throughout the entire series of ongoing encounters! Even you non western fanatics will enjoy riding along with these dedicated good guys in their efforts to bring justice to those deserving it!!!😃

How many times can the same
person be stolen for ransom? When Gerrardo turned out to be one of them, that was the last straw. I'm glad the grizzly showed up right away. The grizzly part of the story was so out of character
