The Visions of Saint Frances of Rome: Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven Revealed Kindle Edition

Learn from one of the Church’s great mystics, Saint Frances of Rome. In this book, she narrates her visions to her spiritual director, Canon Giovanni Matteoni. He records her visions of the geography of hell and the state of limbo. She describes the punishments for various sins such as perverts, usurers, blasphemers, traitors, murderers, apostates, schismatics, incestuous people, witches and more. She also talks about the particular torments due to the seven deadly sins and the punishments for theft, dishonoring parents, breaking vows of chastity and selling daughters into prostitution.

In addition to these visions of hell, Saint Frances also shares her visions of purgatory and heaven. She talks about the condition of souls in purgatory and the glories of heaven and so much more. Her visions will provide you with rich meditations on the realities of the Four Last Things.

I LOVE to read. But audio books give me the best of both worlds. I can still get work done around the house and listen to my books... This book describes these three places as well as Dante Alighieri did in the Divine Comedy... And they say it was "only in his mind" ...

It's very good to have the Saint's visions of hell, purgatory and Heaven -- to help us avoid hell and go to Heaven. An excellent book.

The most interesting was the part about purgatory the other two places were not as interesting.

Unnecessary long, detailed, foul description of Hell. A waste of money and time.

I read a, French version of this book KOwritten by St. Frances of Rome and it really it home on how we suffer in hell for our sins if we don't go to Heaven. The way this book was written was changed and I don't feel it really gives you the true and simple description of hell. I was disappointed. I know someone who translated the French version directly as is, I like it better.
