I thought this was a mockery or sacrilegious basterdisation of the Jesus story. Surprisingly it is more different take on atheism and religion in general. No matter you stance on the bible, people today still debate the facts and necessity of believe. Imagine a person living in the time when these things are happening and still not believing. It is a great conversation piece for non believers and devout followers alike, in my humble opinion.
The movie was a solid 3 out of 10. I would not watch it again nor would I recommend it. If you are super bored or curious then have at it but I will say it took me 3 days to finish it because it did not keep me entertained long enough to keep watching it from start to finish.
The scene is set in Rome where the Romans are in charge. Some youths who enjoy chariot racing through the streets, one of whom is related to a man called Clarence who thinks he is a prophet. Not going to spoil the ending!
