This book was so well documented with original sources and was not obviously very biased. Learning about the life, timeline, and battles of Mohammed and the continued activities after his death, up to present days filled in a portion of history I was lacking. The end of the Roman Empire and the impact of the Muslims on the reshaping of the world order was riveting. Three Christian Crusades are covered with great factuality, not trying to cover up deeds that were less than exemplary to either side.
With the age-old conflicts arising again rather alarmingly in our midst, this book brings perhaps unwelcome but important insights. I can't recommend it highly enough. It is very readable and should be read by everyone.
