I decided to get both "Slaying Dragons" and also "Hauntings, Possessions, and Exorcisms" by Adam Blai. Both were good, but if you were to buy just one as a lay person, I recommend "Slaying Dragons". This book has a good breakdown of the areas to be focused on, and good advise for utilizing sacramentals, prayers, and house blessings. It is clearly written, and it will, by the time you are done it, have you looking at the world, and the spiritual battle we are all in, but hadn't recognized, in a new way. Although a serious topic that can seem scary, emphasis in the book is often given that God is in control, and Jesus has already won. Our job is to accept His redemption for us, and walk closely with Him. To go along with this, I also recommend the book "Deliverance Prayers for use by the Laity" by Fr. Chad Ripperger, which has some good prayers for daily life.
