First let me tell you that I love this treadmill. I have had it for 16 months and use it 4 days a week, 6-10 miles a day under my standing desk. At 3 miles an hour, I am able to talk on the phone and type while walking. No one on the other end of my phone calls has ever told me that they can hear the treadmill (I think my feet hitting the treadmill is louder than the treadmill itself). I agree with everyone's comments that the three loud beeps are annoying, but I just start the treadmill before my conferences.
Now to the remote control. You must have the remote control to start the treadmill, which I think is a problematic. However, if you lose the remote or it breaks there are two solutions. First - you can enroll in the app Spax which allows you to control the treadmill via bluetooth - it was very very easy to connect and fun to use - however, it costs $20 a month or $100 a year after a 7 day free trial. Second - you can contact customer service. I contacted umay1123@outlook.com (which address is on the back of the instruction manual) and told them the problem with my remote. After quick troubleshooting with the remote, we determined it was no longer operational. They sent me a new one at no cost (although I would have been willing to pay) within 10 days via Fed Ex. I only wish that they would provide replacement remotes on Amazon for those of us that have lost or broken the remotes so that we don't have to go through customer service. My rep was very kind and forgave my frustration. In summary, the treadmill is great, it is quiet and I have had no problems with it. I really appreciated the prompt and responsive customer service that I received. I would certainly recommend this treadmill to others.
