For the waist being so tight; I'm surprised at how much room there is below the waist band; the area for the lower stomach and crotch are quite baggy on me so they look like they're too big for me. They are a light beige linen color. Are not see through. Loose in the thigh but not baggy. The waist is comfortable.

But then after washing they sorta wrinkle and that length is no longer an issue. Going to take the hem out. I love wearing these instead of shorts. These are so comfortable, I have ordered 3 more pair. They are lightweight. My Amazon recommended size seemed small so I returned and sized up. I wanted a loose fit so sizing up worked best for me. (am 5'4" 165 lbs).
They wash well. I dry on low heat and remove from dryer promptly and they are ready to wear.
Also great for traveling. 3 days of driving, with frequent stops for my dog... these were really versatile in the mountains to the desert.
