About Me

I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Washington Information School. I am advised by Wanda Pratt and am a member of the iMed Research Group.

​

My broad research goal is for people with disabilities to be empowered when they use technology. I'm currently researching autonomy of inpatients in psychiatric settings, and I've previously worked on creativity tools for blind and visually-impaired people.

​

I received my BS in Computer Science and BA in English from George Fox University. In the past, I have done accessibility research with the Enable team at Microsoft Research, and software engineering research through the CRA-W DREU. I also had the honor of being a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellow from 2021-2024.

My other interests include fiber crafts, science fiction, and poetry.
