LOCASH’s journey from their Nashville stomping grounds to the top of country charts has been a long time coming and it’s only fitting that their new single, “Hometown Home,” has a nod to a special hometown show later this week.
As part of their Bud Light partnership, LOCASH and several country hitmakers will perform for fans 21 and older in age at Billboard presents Bud Light Backyard, a two-day concert event at Tin Roof Nashville set amid CMA Fest. While LOCASH will perform, alongside Dasha and George Birge, on June 8, Dalton Dover, Corey Kent and Alana Springsteen will kick off festivities on June 7.
“Billboard is a staple in the music industry and Tin Roof is a staple in the Nashville nightlife, so it feels like the perfect mix for a hometown home show for us,” the Chris Lucas and Preston Brust said, adding that they’re eager to play their new single, “Hometown Home,” as part of their setlist. “The energy is gonna be off the hook. When they talk about origins, they mean it. Brust, for example, revealed that he lived in his car across the street from Tin Roof when he was trying to make it in the business. “This is pretty cool to go from those days of being a struggling musician to having Chris & I be part of such a cool event,” he admitted. “It means a lot and reminds me to keep believing in our dreams like we were back then.”
“Billboard couldn’t have picked a better town and venue for this event,” the duo continued. “Music City always feels like lightning in a bottle when you experience a show there and hear a new song for the first time. Nashville’s energy is unmatched.”
Fans can also expect new music from the duo in the near future. “Hometown Home” serves as the lead single off their yet-to-be-named new album. It also is the first single on their own label that they recently launched with BMG Distribution.
“This is way bigger than just a song coming out. This is all the blood, sweat and tears poured into all these years in Nashville [and] finally being released on the big stage with us at the helm of The Galaxy Label Group!”
