Very interesting. Lots of Near-Death Experiences also suggest that, if we get to Heaven, we will live in a community with our ancestors. Perhaps poisoning us against The Dead is a way of poisoning us against being resurrected alongside them in Heaven. We will be too full of merciless & self-righteous condemnation for their sins in history. Modern Leftism is composed entirely of relentless condemnation and zero forgiveness and mercy - but this is the opposite of the attitude required to enter Heaven.

Bruce, quite the subtle article today. It's possible that a personality whom you never read or even heard of could make their presence known to you through direct knowing, perhaps providing a name that you could not recognize. Then you decide to research this name and discover that such person indeed existed. Now why would they reach out to you? Perhaps to keep you looking into a spiritual dimension which will foster your development. These developments may take years as one grows in understanding. When young one looks at Egyptian symbols and thinks they are interesting, later you see that the balancing scales are about character and responsibility in life, being reviewed in the afterlife. Even the Greeks reach out from Mount Parnassus to tell us they are present. So there are links to these civilizations which exist in us but many times lie outside our awareness. They are quite aware of our path and feel like family that we haven't seen in a while.

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”—George Orwell, 1984

I think this is how the progressives spread their virus of regressive ideas; either erase the past that stands in stark contrast to their agenda, or hand waving away as “racist “ or “sexist” anything from the past Dead.

You can’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been. I prefer William Faulkner’s quote: “The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”

While I do not disagree with this, I must point out that there is a "legion" of spirits who continually try to speak to the living. While many of these "legion" are crude and clumsy, others are subtle. Some are so subtle that it is difficult to determine whether they have our best interests as everlasting beings as the ultimate goal. This is why discernment is so important. It is also why it is so difficult for those starting out on the path of "enlightenment" to tell if they are really on the correct path. As someone whom I respect very much once told me: "It is a terrible thing to get to the top of the ladder only to find out it against the wrong wall.
