Brynn Whitfield Has a Surprising Take on Jessel Taank's Marital Issues

Sai De Silva's husband also took a compassionate approach toward Jessel Taank's intimacy confession.

On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Brynn Whitfield of The Real Housewives of New York City supported fellow cast member Jessel Taank and how she navigated married life after motherhood.

RHONY cast members have pushed hard since Jessel revealed she and her husband, Pavit Randhawa, haven’t been intimate since the birth of their 2-year-old twin sons, Kai and Rio. Jessel made the revelation to Sai De Silva and Ubah Hassan while en route to Erin Lichy’s Hamptons sleepover and spoke more about it with Jenna Lyons present, as seen in Season 14, Episode 2.

“Listen, I have twins; I don’t have time,” Jessel told the others. “I don’t sleep; I barely eat.”

Erin pointed out that she was a mother of three, insinuating that having twins should be no excuse, while Sai suggested Jessel have sex after the boys go to bed. But were the Housewives being too pushy?

According to Brynn — who showed up at the Hamptons sleepover a day later than the rest — the short answer is “yes.”

Were the RHONY women too hard on Jessel?

On WWHL, Andy asked Brynn if the 'Wives were too “reactive” in response to Jessel admitting she and Pavit haven’t been intimate.

“She just had a baby,” Brynn defended. “I never had a baby, but I can’t even imagine.”

The ladies previously suggested Jessel spice things up for hubby, raising topics such as getting dolled up in lingerie and bringing sex toys into the bedroom. Brynn, however, didn’t think it was necessarily sound advice.

“If I eat carbs, I freak the f-ck out, and I don’t want to do anything for a year, so I think we were really harsh; I think give it some time,” Brynn continued. “And I don’t think the best advice is just ‘go home and f-ck your husband.’”

Following Jessel’s lingerie meltdown — which Sai contended was a “big, bratty moment” — Ubah also had a more compassionate approach toward Jessel’s feelings.

“I honestly think Jessel is crying for help,” Ubah said, citing Jessel’s “trauma” following a “brutal” journey with infertility.

In Season 14, Episode 4, Sai virtually spoke with Brynn about their upcoming “Brynnsgiving” celebration. Both mentioned Jessel’s adverse reaction to Jenna’s lingerie gift, which Jessel previously referred to as “hideous.”

“Something was, like, very, very off,” Brynn told Sai.

Sai claimed Jessel’s “vagina is on a drought,” though Sai’s husband, David Craig, chimed in and offered a different perspective.

“As a man, I have no idea what it’s like to have a child, let alone two,” David offered. “So, I think you guys should take it easy on her because you only have so much energy to give.”

Jessel and Pavit themselves discussed the stressors of being work-at-home parents while raising the toddlers, making it “impossible to get anything done,” Jessel told producers in the most recent episode.

After returning from Erin’s sleepover, Jessel explained how their sex life became a topic amongst the other women. Pavit referred to a lack of intimacy as the “married with kids tax.”

“There’s not free time for us to literally do anything except eat and sleep,” Pavit said.

Jessel commended her husband for not giving “two sh-ts” about what the other ‘Wives thought, but admitted that she was a bit more sensitive to others’ opinions.

“I think that we’ve been in this whirlwind of baby land, and I realize that now is the time to start prioritizing this and get back into the bedroom,” said Jessel.

Both seemed inclined to plan a staycation in the city to remove the supposed tax.
