Dorinda Gives an Update on Her Dog: "This Is a Big Moment for Me, Letting Her Go"
RHONY alum Dorinda Medley shared a "first" for her adorable Cavapoo, Parsley.
This week marked a big "first" for Dorinda Medley and her furry family member.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum shared the moment via Instagram on Friday (September 8) as she prepared to part ways with her adorable dog, Parsley. But don’t pull out the tissues just yet; the goodbye was only temporary.
“OK, Parsley’s going on her first official walk with friends!” Dorinda said in an Instagram Story that was filmed in her apartment building. The former ’Wife then turned the camera to her Cavapoo (a cross between a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), who appeared to be in high spirits. The four-legged friend was seen in the building's lobby while getting acquainted with two other pooches that resembled her.
“They look like they’re sisters and cousins,” Dorinda continued, before giving a lighthearted warning to the dog-walker. “Brent, don’t lose her. This is a big moment for me, letting her go. Your first walk. OK, Parsley, have fun. Be good.”

The following Story showed Dorinda outside her apartment building as Parsley and the other dogs set out for a walk in New York City.
“Bye, Parsley. Bye, Parse,” Dorinda said with a sorrowful tone, after admitting that the dog needed "socialization."
Although The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip mom was clearly struggling with the goodbye, Parsley was clearly excited about the group walk, so much so that she practically ignored Dorinda's farewell.
“Oh, [she] doesn’t seem to miss me at all,” Dorinda joked after failing to get Parsley’s attention. “OK, wow. That was quick… Did you see? She didn’t even look back.”

Dorinda introduced Parsley in 2021, less than two years after her previous dog, Lucy, had died. She reflected on the loss in a couple of Instagram posts, one of which included a Young Christopher Robin quote: “Silly old bear. I wouldn’t ever forget about you, Pooh, I promise. Not even when I’m a hundred.”
“I’ll miss you forever my sweet Lucy,” Dorinda wrote in the caption, followed by the hashtags “RIP” and “loyal friend.”
What's next for Dorinda Medley?
Dorinda, who recently returned to her Manhattan apartment, is gearing up for the Season 4 premiere of RHUGT, also known as RHONY Legacy. The series will be set in St. Barths and will follow Dorinda and her fellow RHONY alumni Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, and Kristen Taekman. RHUGT Season 4 is set to premiere in December on Peacock.
