Kelly Bensimon Has Found Her Perfect Wedding Dress: "I Almost Started Crying"
The RHONY alum shared the emotional update as she prepares to tie the knot with Scott Litner.
Wedding dress shopping can be an emotional experience. Just ask Kelly Kiloren Bensimon.
With her nuptial ceremony right around the corner, The Real Housewives of New York City alum stopped by Kleinfeld Bridal last week in search of the perfect wedding dress. Kelly spoke about the excursion in a recent interview with Page Six Style, saying she had tried on eight to 10 bridal designs before finding the right one.
“Literally, when I was trying on the dress, I almost started crying,” she told the outlet while at the Manhattan wedding boutique. “I was just like, ‘I’m just so emotional’ — just because it’s so beautiful and everyone here has been so supportive and excited for me… I didn’t realize how excited and beautiful I would feel in the dress. I mean I wear a lot of dresses. I’ve modeled since the Ice Age. I’ve worn a lot of beautiful clothes and putting on a wedding dress is magic.”

Kelly, who is engaged to financier Scott Litner, said selecting a wedding dress was far from easy, as she was presented with many stunning options.
“It’s all pearl dresses, lace dresses, taffeta dresses, longer dresses, shorter dresses, tighter dresses, bigger dresses,” she said after trying on garments by Netta Benshabu, Nicole + Felicia, and Pnina Tornai. “Everything is so unique and it’s so much fun. It’s like a fairytale. It’s literally unbelievable.”
Although Kelly didn’t reveal which design she ultimately chose, she said it was right in line with her vision.
“So, obviously, I’m a queen, but I want to play like a princess. So I needed both vibes,” she continued. “I needed to definitely give off my queen vibes but also be my playful self. I wanted something that screams, ‘beautiful bride.’ That’s what I’m going for. I can’t tell you exactly what it’s going to look like but it’s going to look so good.”

Kelly said she was also confident that Scott would love the dress and predicted he would start “bawling his eyes out” once she walked down the aisle.
“I’m just very moved by the whole process,” she said about the wedding-planning experience. “It’s just I’m getting married later in life and I never thought this would happen. And I just would not change this day and the way I’m leading up to it. I’m just having such a great time.”

Scott proposed to Kelly in July 2023 during their trip to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. She spoke about her wedding plans in a December 2023 interview with People magazine, saying she and Scott would have two ceremonies: The first will be a smaller event planned for June 22 at Scott’s family home, while the second will be a much larger celebration held in the Hamptons.
“Why have one when you can have two?” she quipped. “When this first started I was like, I’m going to be so relaxed about this. I’m going to be like, the coolest bride ever.’ But then I started doing it. At this point, I think I might just become a total bridezilla! I just think I could really wear those shoes well.”
