This is my daughter. This human has come to me and said, 'This is who I am.' And my job is to say, 'Welcome home.' I will fight and defend her right to exist to anyone who claims that she doesn't."
The Wade family has always been vocal about expressing their support for their transgender daughter Zaya, but now, they have gone a step further. In May, Dwyane Wade launched Translatable, an online community that aims to support transgender children and their families. The Wade Family Foundation is funding the platform, and according to NBC News, Dwyane says he hopes it will "support growth, mental health, and well-being, and that this space ignites more conversations leading to greater understanding and acceptance."
In 2020, Cynthia Nixon shared some insight on having a transgender son on the Homo Sapiens podcast. "Before I ever had an inkling my kid might be trans, I read a really extensive article… [about] all of these parents of pre-pubescent kids who were really struggling with this,” she said. "There was one dad who said, ‘At a certain point, the decision seemed to me I could have a dead son or a live daughter,’ and it’s like, after you say that, what more is there to say? You can make all the arguments that you want … but the fact is, as a parent, as a human, you should listen to what people tell you about themselves.”
After Billy Ray's daughter, Miley, came out as pansexual in 2015, the country singer told E! News that he is in full support of her. "We've always been very open-minded," he said. "Listen, it's all about love and light. Forget the negativity and the haters. She's rocking and rolling and having a good time. What the world needs is love. There's too much hate…The world needs positive influences."
5.Magic Johnson
Magic Johnson has been very open about his love for his son, EJ, who is transgender. In an Instagram post for EJ's 32nd birthday, he captioned the photo, "EJ is amazing and intelligent and has helped so many other people live life as their authentic selves, comfortable in their own skin. Never forget I will always be here to support, guide, and love you because I’m your biggest fan!"

In an Instagram post, the singer's son Izaak thanked her for her support during his transition. "Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma. Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, for the love you give me. The purest heart. I love you so much. Queen of queens ♥️."
In 2022, Sigorurney Weaver went on the Smartless podcast and told the hosts about her only child. “We have a wonderful daughter who’s now 32 — I don’t know how, she still looks 12." she said. "In fact, they’re nonbinary and they teach.”
8.Jennifer Lopez
In 2022, Jennifer Lopez received internet praise for referring to their child Emme with gender neutral pronouns. In a viral TikTok that captures this moment, one person commented, "'They' is how Emme identifies. This was Jlo sharing that information. it's beautiful to see her supporting her child."
9.Busy Phillipps
When Busy Phillipps's daughter came out as gay, the star showed nothing but unconditional love and acceptance. According to USA Today, the actress said on a Zoom call, "I love and trust my child and so when my child tells me a thing about themselves, how wonderful that I have information that I didn't have before, and what other job do I have but to support that?"
10.Marlon Wayans
On an episode of The Breakfast Club podcast, Marlon revealed that his son Kai was in the process of transitioning. The comedian admitted to being in a state of "ignorance and denial" at first, but quickly came to "complete unconditional love and acceptance." "If they can’t get that in the household with their father and their mother, how the f**k do I send them out into the world with that kind of confidence?” he said. “I’m just so proud of them for being them.”
11.Ally Sheedy
When speaking about her son, who came out as transgender in his teens, Ally Sheedy told People, "I want him to be able to do what he wants to do with his life and have the freedom to make his own choices and surround himself with a loving, supportive community. So far, he's been able to do that."
12.Eugene Levy
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Eugene's son, Dan, expressed his gratitude for their relationship. "I've never had to prove myself. I've never had to explain myself and that, fundamentally, is the support that every father needs to give their son. Particularly where the son is a gay or queer person, because that relationship is crucial. And I think for a lot of people, they don't get that support from their fathers. I'm grateful," he told the publication.
13.Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron made headlines when she revealed her child, who was 3-years-old at the time, was transgender. “I thought she was a boy, too,” Theron, 43, reportedly told The Daily Mail. “Until she looked at me at 3 years old and said, ‘I am not a boy!’”
14.Cher
When Cher's son, Chaz Bono, announced he was transitioning in 2009, Cher confessed to CNN that "it wasn't easy." “I remember calling, and the old (voicemail) message … was on the phone, and that was very difficult. But you don’t really lose them. They just are in a different shape.”
