Could weight loss drugs curb other addictions?
A group of weight loss and diabetes treatment drugs, known as GLP-1 agonists, work by curbing appetite centers in the brain. But animal studies suggest these drugs could also potentially reduce addiction to nicotine, alcohol, and opioids. Dr. Jon LaPook explains.
