  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Facing multi-week absence

Farley, who returned to practice Wednesday after suffering a hamstring injury Saturday, is now expected to miss a few weeks after aggravating the injury, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.

Farley has played in just 12 regular-season games since being selected by the Titans in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He missed all of 2023 due to a back injury, and his inability to stay on the field led to Tennessee declining his fifth-year option in May. With this latest setback, Farley is likely to be held out of all three preseason games with the hope that he will be healthy for the Titans' season opener against the Bears on Sept. 9.

  • Titans' Will Levis: On track to play Saturday

Levis and the Titans' other healthy starters are slated to see action in Saturday's preseason opener against the 49ers, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

McCormick relayed that starters who play Saturday figure to work a series or two before given way to the Titans' reserves. Once Levis exits the contest, Mason Rudolph and Malik Willis will be available to handle the team's QB reps.

  • Titans' Tre'Shaun Harrison: Dealing with ankle injury

Harrison (ankle) is expected to miss Saturday's preseason opener against the 49ers, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

The Oregon State product is expected to continue battling for a depth spot in Tennessee's wide receiver corps once he returns from injury. If Harrison is absent Saturday, Sam Schnee and Bryce Oliver are expected to see more preseason reps.

  • Titans' Garret Wallow: Out for season

Wallow sustained a torn pectoral Wednesday and will miss all of 2024, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Wallow was competing for a depth role among the Titans' inside linebacker corps before suffering a torn pectoral. The TCU product appeared in five regular-season games last season with the Texans and Titans, recording six total tackles while playing primarily on special teams (48 defensive snaps and 67 special-teams snaps).

  • Titans' Calvin Ridley: Working on rapport with Levis

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said Wednesday that the deep-ball relationship between Ridley and quarterback Will Levis needs improvement, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.

It's not time to panic this early in camp, as Levis has had relatively few reps as a pro and Ridley is new to Tennessee. However, the report still raises some concern, because Ridley was among the league leaders in deep targets and air yards last season. Meanwhile, Levis led the league in air yards per attempt. That combination suggests that the duo should be productive on deep shots down the field. Callahan noted that the two are working hard to get on the same page, including watching game film of other quarterbacks and wide receivers around the league.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Gets back on field

Farley (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Farley suffered the injury Sunday, but his return to practice three days later is good news for the Louisville product, especially after he missed the 2023 campaign due to a back injury. A first-round selection in 2021, the 25-year-old may be fighting for a depth role in the secondary after the Titans acquired L'Jarius Sneed in a trade and selected Jarvis Brownlee in the 2024 NFL Draft.

  • Titans' Jamal Adams: Dealing with soreness

Adams has been sidelined at training camp due to soreness and is not practicing Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

The source of Adams' soreness is unclear, though it could be related to a knee injury he dealt with last season. The veteran safety joined the Titans on a one-year deal in July after he was released by the Seahawks in May. Adams was limited to just one game regular-season game in 2022 and nine in 2023, but if he can stay healthy, he could head into Week 1 as Tennessee's starting strong safety.

  • Titans' Chigoziem Okonkwo: May be headed for timeshare

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said Wednesday that Okonkwo and Josh Whyle are "two very different kind of tight ends" and both will have roles in the offense, Buck Reising of 104.5 The Zone Nashville reports.

Callahan classified Whyle is more of an in-line "Y" tight end and Okonkwo as more of an "F" (move) tight end, which perhaps hints at the latter being more involved than the former as a pass catcher. The team's initial preseason depth chart lists both as starters, a move that attracted some attention after Whyle played only 156 snaps in 11 games as a rookie in 2023. Okonkwo, meanwhile, took 692 snaps in 17 games, but he struggled for much of the season before improving late in the campaign and recording 61 percent of his yardage over the final seven weeks (322 out of 528 yards). His production was also heavily back-weighted during his 2022 rookie campaign, but in that season, Okonkwo simply didn't get much playing time early on. Callahan's quote makes it sound like another leap forward in playing time is unlikely for Okonkwo in Year 3.

  • Titans' Saahdiq Charles: Set to retire

Charles (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/retired list by the Titans on Tuesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

Charles had been getting first-team reps at right guard throughout the offseason, but he now appears to be set to hang up his cleats. The 25-year-old dealt with a calf issue in 2023, though it's unclear if the injury is the reason for his decision to retire.
