Jack Schmelzinger is a preps sports assistant at the Cincinnati Enquirer. He graduated from Miami University in 2024 with degrees in journalism and economics. He was the sports editor of Miami's student newspaper from March 2022 to March 2024, where he won a few awards, including first place nationally for a collegiate sports story in 2023 from the Society of Professional Journalists. His favorite stories to write are sports-focused human interest and enterprise stories. Outside of work, he loves to hang out with loved ones, play sports video games and golf.
