A popular brand of athletic clothing plans to permanently close its warehouse near the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, according to a WARN notice sent to the Kentucky Career Center.

The letter sent to the state Wednesday indicated Fabletics would lay off 69 employees "on or within two weeks of July 10." The warehouse is located at 7865 National Turnpike.

"We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and have carefully created a separation package to support the employee's transitions," Fabletics' parent company TechStyle stated in the letter, which also noted the employees laid off were not members of a union.

Fabletics has operated a warehouse in Louisville since 2014, according to a report from Louisville Business First. At that time, Fabletics' sales were primarily in e-commerce, but it would later open brick-and-mortar stores across the United States, including one in Louisville's Oxmoor Center. Employees at the Oxmoor Center store were not mentioned in the letter from TechStyle.

The Courier Journal has reached out to TechStyle for comment.
