Joe Biden described himself as a “black woman” during a recent radio interview, raising more questions about his mental condition.
“By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman… to serve with a black president,” he said to Philadelphia’s WURD.
“Proud to be involved of the first black woman on the Supreme Court.”
“There’s so much that we can do because look… we’re the United States of America,” Biden stated, the Daily Mail reported.
Watch
The blunder appeared to be his effort to highlight Harris as the first black female vice president.
Biden’s mention of “serving with a black president” likely alludes to his tenure as vice president under Barack Obama.
Unsurprisingly, Biden’s gaffe caused a media frenzy, with left-leaning outlets like The Telegraph and CBS mocking him.
Biden’s spokesperson, Anmar Moussa, responded to the coverage, stating:
“It was clear what President Biden meant when he was talking about his historic record, including a record number of appointments to the federal bench.”
“This is not news, and the media has passed the point of absurdity here.”
The gaffe only intensified calls for Biden to step down from the 2024 race.
His remarks came after he told Democratic Governors he “needs more sleep” because of his brain.
One user joked, “Joe Biden has survived in politics for a very long time. Do not underestimate his political skill.”
“His decision to now run as a black woman could be the shot of energy that turns this thing around.”

However, some media outlets have been attempting to do damage control for Biden.
The Associated Press (AP) was criticized for calling Biden “sharp and focused” but also “confused and forgetful.”

Some X users point to The Economist’s Independence Day cover story as a more accurate representation of Biden and his campaign.

“The president and his party portray themselves as the saviors of democracy. Their actions say otherwise,” The Economist’s scathing assessment began.
The report itself read:
“The presidential debate was awful for Joe Biden, but the cover-up has been worse.”
“It was agony to watch a befuddled old man struggling to recall words and facts. His inability to land an argument against a weak opponent was dispiriting.”
