Investigators apparently have cracked the case of the stolen ostrich eggs.

Officers arrested a man from the Dallas suburb of Richardson this week and recovered 38 eggs, all but five of them allegedly stolen June 16 from the Bordelon Breeders International west of Fort Worth.Bordelon Breeders said the eggs were valued at $10,000.

Deputy Allen Beadel said the suspect, who has not been charged, appeared to be an ostrich breeder. Five chicks also were found at his home, he said.
