Past
Jerome was born out at sea. His father was a sailor and his mother was a native Alolan, however she disappeared soon after Jerome was born. He spent the majority of his early childhood in his fathers boat docked at Canalave City. He'd fish occasionally, but enjoyed his time the most at the Canalave Library.
Jerome has two older brothers, Tiago and Sasha. Both have psychically stronger builds than Jerome and both grew up to be sports enthusiasts. They think very little of Jerome.

Sinnoh Contests
Since the beginning of his Pokemon journey at age 10, Jerome has competed solely in contests. He chose Piplup for his starter, but has since made a closer bond with his Trapinch. Jerome has been relatively successful at Pokemon contests. At his first contest he caught the attention of Yushi, a fellow coordinator, who becomes obsessed with him from day one. She loves hugging Jerome as if he's some kind of doll, much to his annoyance. As a result, Jerome hates being called cute and wishes he had a much tougher, more masculine appearance.

Kazan first met Jerome at her first contest in Jubilife City, and slowly forms a friendly bond with him.

Personality traits: Jerome is extremely shy and quiet. He is rarely heard speaking and tends not to look people in the eyes. He doesn't stand his ground and allows other to treat him the way they wish.
