Liam Neeson revealed that mother-in-law Vanessa Redgrave was thoroughly entertained by his new movie The A-Team, despite being confused throughout.

The 58-year-old actor, who was married to Redgrave's daughter Natasha Richardson before her tragic death last March, took the screen legend along with the couple's sons to a viewing of the big-budget remake of the 1980s TV series.

Neeson, who plays A-Team leader Hannibal Smith in the blockbuster, revealed to WENN that the 73-year-old classically-trained actress struggled to keep up with the plot.

"Three-quarters of the way through, I asked her, 'Vanessa, are you following it?' She said, 'I am a little bit confused - but I love every second of it!'"

He continued: "We all loved it, and I guess I got a little bit of cred with my boys."

Neeson has previously spoken of the importance of his family, revealing that he misses his sons when filming on location.
