Watching an ex enter a new relationship can sometimes be a thorny situation.
Bachelor Nation's Kaitlyn Bristowe appeared to share her reaction to former fiancé Jason Tartick dating Kat Stickler after fans on social media wondered how she was doing amid the news.
"It's more of some held on anger and resentment that I'm working through!!!" the former Bachelorette wrote in the comments section of a private Facebook group for her Off the Vine podcast community, per screenshots shared by content creator Zachary Reality. "Not hurt."
Kaitlyn's post came after Jason and Kat made their romance Instagram official in a June 12 post, in which the Trading Secrets podcaster could be seen wrapping his arms around the TikToker and kissing her on the cheek. Kat captioned the photos, "Heart is full."
Jason—who'd been sparking dating rumors with Kat for months before they confirmed their relationship on social media—also shed some light on how their time together began.
"The day after our first kiss, Kat was supposed to leave town and I was leaving the following day," the 35-year-old explained in a separate post. "She FaceTimed me when she got on the plane and said 'should I get off this plane and go to you? Is that too much? I should just stay on, right? But it would be pretty romantic…I think. What do you think?'"
Knowing that Kat didn't have her daughter MK—whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Stickler—that weekend, Jason agreed.
"She didn't even hesitate," he continued. "She got all her things from the overhead and at this point everyone on the plane was sitting down. Flight attendant asked where she was going and all she said was ‘I'm gonna go see a boy I just met!!' and then all the passengers started clapping and cheering and she left the plane and that night we had our first dinner where it was just us. I'll never forget the feeling I had taking this picture right before that first date night."
Jason and Kat's hard launch comes 10 months after he and Kaitlyn announced the end of their engagement. Afterwards, the reality stars both opened up about their grief over the end of the four-year relationship. And while they continued to share their dogs and both attended Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima's wedding, things haven't been completely rosy for the former couple.
"It's really disappointing to me the way that Jason's kind of leaning into the victim mentality because I don't want to dismiss that he's hurting," Kaitlyn—who also shot down rumors that she cheated on Jason after she celebrated New Year's Eve with Bachelor Nation's Zac Clark—said on a January episode of her Off the Vine podcast. "I don't want to dismiss that his feelings are valid and his feelings are hurting, but I have talked to him so openly and honestly."
E! News has reached out to Kaitlyn's team for comment on her Facebook post but has yet to hear back.
