Australian actress Abbie Cornish (you might remember her as Sweet Pea from Sucker Punch or Bradley Cooper's love interest in Limitless) is in talks to star as Robocop's wife in the reboot being directed by Jose Padhilla. the film has already signed up Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson to the cast, in addition to Joel Kinnaman in the title role. [Deadline]

Lindsay Lohan has been released from Santa Monica UCLA Hospital following a car crash this morning. The actress totaled a rented Porsche into the back of an 18-wheeler and was brought to the hospital as a precaution. She had no serious injuries. [TMZ]

War of the Buttons tells the story of two rival teen gangs of kids from neighboring French villages who engage in merciless play-war. The film is based on Louis Pergaud's 1912 novel La Guerre des Boutons and you can check out the new trailer below, complete with a swelling musical score and '80s movie trailer voice-over guy. The film gets a limited release July 18.

It's been well documented that World War Z starring Brad Pitt is going back for seven weeks of re-shoots. But who will be writing the re-shot scenes? Prometheus and LOST writer Damon Lindelof, that's who. [THR]

Resident Evil fans will be happy to hear that a new trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution will be revealed next Thursday, June 14. Franchise star Milla Jovovich will do a live Q&A at New York's Regal Union Square Cinemas. Fans can attend the event by logging in to the film's Facebook page and printing out an invitation.

Here's the red band trailer for Freelancers, starring Robert DeNiro, Forest Whitaker and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. Freelancers will arrive in New York and Los Angeles theaters August 10 and release on Blu-Ray/DVD August 21.
