While it may not be up there with winning an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe, heck, even a People’s Choice Award, the honor of having your name cemented along the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard for millions of people to walk on annually is still a big deal.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame unveiled a list of lucky celebs who will get stars added on the fabled sidewalk next year.
Among the honorees, Jennifer Aniston will receive a star in the movie category despite her decade-long TV run on Emmy-winning Friends. Joining her in representing the big screen will be Scarlett Johansson, Vin Diesel, John Lasseter, Malcolm McDowell, Kate Winslet, Summer Redstone and posthumously, Richard Burton.
Jennifer Lopez won’t be honored for her contribution to movies, but instead will get a star for music. Other musicians getting stars will be Boyz II Men, David Foster, Vince Gill, America, Pepe Aguilar, Hal David, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart and posthumously, Barry White.
Finally, on the TV side, Simpsons creator Matt Groening will finally receive a star along with Valerie Bertinelli, Law & Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay, Patricia Heaton, Marg Helgenberger, Star Trek’s Walter Koenig and old-school Batman, Adam West.
The lone recipient for the radio category will be Ryan Seacrest’s morning co-host Ellen K.
No specific dates have yet been announced for the star ceremonies but you can bet that most of them will occur prior to a major movie or album release.
