The first trailer for Wrath of the Titans, directed by Battle: Loss Angeles' Jonathan Liebesman, didn't exactly skimp on the monsters. It made it clear right off the bat that the goal this time around is to make a sequel that turns its version of a Greek fantasy world to 11, but it also had no desire to hide that star Sam Worthington was once again stricken with the angsty burden of standing up for puny Earthlings and saving the day. This new trailer, however, cares a whole lot more about communicating that first part than it does the second.

Sure, Worthington is still in it, but this version plays up Liam Neeson's ever watchful Godhood and a mythic ton of landscape-hating monsters over anything else. Like the most recent The Amazing Spider-Man trailer, it's got less talking and more action, which works well enough its favor. Plus, Marylin Manson's "Sweet Dreams" cover has been traded for a more BWAAAM-filled accompaniment. We could do without either auditory cliche at this point, but I guess we'll settle for an Inception-knock off over a decade old cover song at this point.

But what say you? Does this leaner trailer make Wrath of the Titans any more appealing? Or are you still cautious after the first film's generic fantasy action and notoriously spotty 3D?
