Justice League

Justice League: Reportedly, Warner Bros. wants Chris Terrio, who won an Oscar for Argo and recently completed script work on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, to write the screenplay for Justice League. Terrio was brought onto Batman v Superman after David S. Goyer (Batman, Man of Steel) became "too busy" with other projects to do another rewrite. [Deadline]

George Clooney / Jodie Foster

Money Monster: TriStar Pictures is "nearing a deal" to pick up Jodie Foster's Money Monster, starring George Clooney. The studio would finance the picture -- a $30 million deal in itself -- and also distribute it. Clooney is set to star as a TV personality who is kidnapped, live and on the air, by a viewer who blames him for bad financial tips. The project will film early next year after Clooney completes work on the Coen brothers' Hail, Caesar! [The Wrap]

Grasshopper Jungle

Grasshopper Jungle: We just heard that Edgar Wright will next be directing Baby Driver (called a "collision of crime, action, music and sound"), and now comes word that he's set another project as well. Grasshopper Jungle is based on a young-adult novel by Andrew Smith, published earlier this year, that wonders what will happen when six-foot-tall praying mantises are unleashed upon mankind. Scott Rosenberg (High Fidelity) is writing the screenplay; Wright will tackle it after Baby Driver. [Variety]
