The Six Billion Dollar Man: Damián Szifrón (above), who grew up in Argentina watching American TV shows like The Six Million Dollar Man, will now write the big-screen adaptation of the series. Mark Wahlberg will star and Peter Berg will direct. Szifrón most recently wrote and directed the richly imaginative Wild Tales, a black comedy consisting of multiple segments about the pressures of modern-day life; it was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Don't Look Now

Don't Look Now: Another '70s treasure, the moody thriller Don't Look Now, is starting down the remake path. The original, directed by Nicolas Roeg, stars Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie as a married couple grieving the loss of their young daughter; things get weird when they encounter a nun in Italy claiming a psychic connecton to the little girl. Michelle Darnell: Cecily Strong, currently a cast member of Saturday Night Live, will join Melissa McCarthy in the comedy Michelle Darnell. Kathy Bates, Peter Dinklage and Kristen Bell are already set; McCarthy stars as a former "titan of industry" who is sent to prison for insider trading and then seeks to rebuild her career after she's paroled. Strangerland

Strangerland Trailer: Nicole Kidman stars in Strangerland, a thriller about a couple whose two teenage children disappear just before a massive dust storm hits the small town where they live.
