Sweet Land

Inge, a German mail-order bride in 1920s Minnesota, meets with suspicion and scorn when she arrives to marry a member of a Norwegian farming community. Forbidden to marry the man, Inge goes to live with his friends, the Frandsens while she learns how to speak English and about American customs.
