So many scary tales in space await you this month on the list of Horror movies streaming on Hulu. Even with the films that are set on Earth, extraterrestrial creatures arrive to bring violence and fright to human beings.

Films from the Alien series and the Predator franchise are part of Hulu’s scheduled programming; there are even films from the crossover between the Alien and Predator series, so you can be thrilled to double the space horror in more than one film.

You’ll also find slasher films like Tragedy Girls, the psychological fear of Get Out, and the serial killer stylings of Cult Killer.

  • Alien: Covenant (2017) on July 1

Ridley Scott directed the classic space horror film Alien but didn't return to the series until after several sequels. After Scott's return to the franchise, Alien: Covenant is the second film in the prequel series that predates the original Alien.

A colony ship is on its way to Origae-6 when Walter, the android in charge, awakens the colonists after the vessel is damaged. Horrors await the colonists when they decide to explore a much closer planet and find the android David and familiar deadly lifeforms.

Michael Fassbender, in a dual role, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, and Demián Bichir star in the film, which John Logan and Dante Harper wrote.

  • Aliens (1986) on July 1

The first sequel to Alien is one of the most beloved films in the franchise. It takes the terror of the first film and adds a dose of relentless action from the director, James Cameron. It's hard to beat.

With a rock and roll cast that included franchise star Sigourney Weaver and Cameron regulars Michael Biehn, Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, Jenette Goldstein, Paul Reiser, Carrie Henn, and William Hope, the film easily became a fan favorite.

Decades after surviving the Nostromo incident, Ellen Ripley is sent out to re-establish contact with a terraforming colony but finds herself battling the Alien Queen and her offspring.

  • Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007) on July 1

After the first five sequels in the Alien franchise, including the crossover Alien vs. Predator films, The Brothers Strause directed this sequel to Paul W.S. Anderson's Alien vs. Predator.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem introduces the Predalien or hybrid of the two hunter species. Steven Pasquale, Reiko Aylesworth, John Ortiz, Johnny Lewis, and Ariel Gade star in this even more hopeless follow-up.

If you're looking for something darker than average in the overall series, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem might be what you're looking for.

  • Aniara (2018) on July 1

Speaking of hopeless films, Aniara, a Swedish-Danish space horror film of a different kind, isn't really that cheery. Based on an epic poem tells the story of the survivors of a climate catastrophe on Earth who attempt to survive after their ship goes off course.

Directed by Pella Kågerman and Hugo Lilja, it stars Emelie Garbers, Bianca Cruzeiro, Arvin Kananian, and Anneli Martini.

  • Get Out (2017) on July 1

Writer and director Jordan Peele's feature debut film was a phenomenon when it was released. It is a terrifying psychological horror movie that Peele said was very personal but then diverged from his own life.

A young African-American visits his white girlfriend's parents for the weekend, where his simmering uneasiness about their reception of him eventually reaches a boiling point as strange things begin to happen.

Jordan Peele was first known as a comedian who created the sketch comedy show Key and Peele with Keegan-Michael Key, but he was also a huge horror fan. He has since made two other critically praised films in the horror genre, Us and Nope.

The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, LaKeith Stanfield, Lil Rel Howery, Caleb Landry Jones, Betty Gabriel, Stephen Root and Catherine Keener.

  • Predators (2010) on July 1

Predators is the fifth film in the overall Predator and Alien franchise that crosses over between the two series. Hungarian director Nimród Antal took over in the director's chair after the film was developed by Robert Rodriguez.

Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Walton Goggins, Laurence Fishburne, Danny Trejo, and Mahershala Ali star in the film as a group of brutal soldiers, criminals, and one psychopathic killer who are up against the alien menace.

A group of elite warriors parachute into an unfamiliar jungle and are hunted by members of a merciless alien race.

  • The Predator (2018) on July 1

The Predator is the sixth film in the Predator/Alien crossover franchise and was directed by Shane Black, perhaps best known for writing the scripts for The Monster Squad and Lethal Weapon.

Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Alfie Allen, and Thomas Jane star in the film as a group of prisoners who are much more endearing than the previous film's crew of hardened warriors in their fight for survival.

When a young boy accidentally triggers the universe's most lethal hunters to return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled scientist can prevent the end of the human race.

  • Tragedy Girls (2017) on July 1
