Readers of our print edition know that Fango lost one of our own this summer when Brittany Knupper passed away in June. Brittany was a writer, a wife, a burlesque performer (under the name Georgia O’Queef), a huge fan of drag, and a big, shining presence in the lives of everyone who knew her.

Brittany deserves a memorial befitting her personality, her reach, and her legacy, and so it will be at Brittadoon, a variety extravaganza happening this Saturday in Los Angeles. There will be laughs, there will be songs and burlesque performances, and there will be a gathering of the folks who loved and were loved by her.

And you’re invited! It’s free to attend – you need only RSVP – but donations are encouraged, as her memorial will be doubling as a fundraiser for the ACLU Drag Defense Fund.

It’s all happening at the Mayflower Club, 11110 Victory in North Hollywood. Doors open at 7pm; the show starts at 7:30pm. You can RSVP and/or donate at Brittadoon.com.
