What makes a great beauty product? For the past 20 years, Glamour has answered this question with our annual beauty awards, an authoritative guide to the year’s most outstanding launches in skin care and makeup. Which goes to say: We’ve been doing this for a long time, and as the world has evolved, our definition of beauty has too.

It’s become clearer than ever that the mind and body are integral parts of beauty, which is why this year we’ve introduced a Wellness category, spanning sleep, fitness, health, and sex. The newly minted Glamour Beauty and Wellness Awards are committed to honoring products that make us look and feel great—not only on the outside but on the inside as well.

We’ve enlisted our trusted staff—plus a variety of industry experts, who weighed in on our prestigious Beauty Innovators category—to test hundreds of products over the past few months. Here, we present the best beauty and wellness launches of 2023.
