While everyone is so focussed on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's ring fingers, they should remember to check out the singer's left wrist.
As Lopez and Affleck spend the holiday weekend on separate coasts amid rampant divorce rumors, the 54-year-old singer was spotted wearing a very telling piece of jewelry in New York on January 5. I'm not talking about her wedding ring (which she very rarely takes off) but a chunky link bracelet that appeared to feature a conspicuous “B” charm hanging in clear view of the paparazzi's camera.
While her manager's name is Benny Medina, it seems much more likely that the “B” represents her husband's first initial. As for the rest of the look, Lopez wore an all-white linen set with Dior's Lady Di-Joy Riviera bag, plenty of mixed-metal jewelry, and a light-colored sun hat—all of which served to make her simple brown flip-flops look very expensive. A day later, vocal coach Stevie Mackey posted a photo from a recent bike ride with Lopez. While her bracelet was not visible in the pic, she was dressed in another pair of white linen pants and a practical pair of white sneakers. As usual, her wedding ring was secured on the singer's left ring finger.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Ben Affleck was photographed wearing his wedding ring (and a rare smile on his face) during two separate outings with his children on July 3. This comes after the 51-year-old actor was spotted without the sentimental accessory on June 23.
Affleck's renewed commitment to his wedding ring and Lopez's bracelet both send a positive, if slightly unexpected, message about the state of their marriage. Despite recent reports Affleck has already removed his things from their Beverly Hills home as they attempt to sell the estate, this could signal that the pair are working on their alleged issues.
They both appeared to be in high spirits.
“They are taking some space to work out whether or not the relationship is right for both of them,” a source told Us Weekly in May after reports surfaced that Affleck moved out earlier that month. “Jennifer had started ramping up her work commitments and prepping for her tour. She’s very focused on work and overextends herself.… He’s been checked out…[they are on] two completely different pages most of the time. The honeymoon phase has worn off.”
A few days later, Live Nation announced that Jennifer Lopez had canceled her scheduled world tour to spend more time with family. “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” Lopez told fans in her own personal statement on May 31. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much."
It might seem like a bad sign that the pair chose to celebrate Independence Day on opposite ends of the country, but perhaps absense truly does make the heart grow fonder.
