Netflix's Beef was undoubtedly on of the TV shows to watch for 2023. Now, we want to know when we'll be getting a Beef season 2.
Telling the story of two strangers who meet by chance and begin a huge feud, the first season of Beef – starring Ali Wong and Steven Yeun – was a huge success, garnering awards left right and centre, including eight Emmys and three Golden Globes.
Things are hotting up, with many reports flying around about castings for season two. Here's everything we know.
Will there be a Beef season 2?
While Netflix hasn't confirmed the series' renewal yet, the show's boss has been very vocal about plans for multiple seasons.
“We always pitched the season to buyers as an anthology series. There was always going to be new characters,” Beef creator Lee Sung Jin told Deadline previously. “Whether it stays limited or turns as an anthology or we continue existing, that’s really up to Netflix. But whatever they decide, I’m definitely ready.”
He also told Elle US that when he initially pitched the show, he always had in mind “multiple other beefs and other character types to explore.”

Beef season 2 cast
While Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway were previously rumoured to be in negotiations for roles in Beef season 2, reports now say that Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are in discussions to play one of two couples with beef.
May December and Riverdale star Charles Melton and Priscilla herself Cailee Spaeny are also rumoured to be in talks to play a Beef couple. Deadline has also reported that the second season's premise could potentially be centred around two warring couples.
